Really looking forward to this! Just an idea, but what if there was an option to start the game and every operator was replaced with a standee with a letter on it. Attackers had blue A, B, C, etc. Defenders had orange A, B, C, etc. Players would have corresponding cards facing them on each of their operators so they would know who is who. As soon as operators had line of sight to each other, you would swap their standees with their figures. This would create an initial “fog of war” so you would not know which operator was where at the beginning. Then you’d have to weigh in how much to risk with getting close and revealing yourself. Are you about to approach the other teams close combat specialist? Or is that movement over there just a decoy? I think this would add a layer of strategy so it wouldn’t just be “burst into the room and hope you can kill them first” every time. I think you could also spend resource points on “decoys” which you could move around to confuse the other team, but if line of sight was established then the decoy would be removed.

I’m definitely excited for this, but it seems like there’s a lot of pieces going on. I wish you took some inspiration from heroclix and added the hit points into a dial on the miniatures instead of all the tokens. It would be much easier to look at the character and see that they have x amount of hit points left rather than having to deal with all of the hit tokens
As a fan of the video game, I am extremely excited. As a fan of board games, I'm about to have a heart attack sure to sheer joy. Just one quick question, will there be any chance of a solo mode? I understand that this type of game speaks mostly to versus, but as a solo gamer, I would love the opportunity to play this game more often than I would if I'm playing with other people... But either way this looks amazing and I am looking forward to seeing this on KS!!!

A solo mode would need to completely readapt the mechanics, and although we know it could attract a lot more people if we had a solo mode, we won’t simply add or promise this at this stage of the development. In the future, you never know. But not in this one! I hope you’ll find enough people to play with! The good thing is that the game plays really fast, it’s not a long time commitment so it’s easier to find players!

Like the Look of it, Love the minis & Board , BUT the over watch is OP, multiple shots on Target(S) as they move, Real Life they would all move at same time, he would not be able to shoot them all at once as they moved Unless they were together and he sprayed, this said spraying is not as Accurate a Aimed shot, you should Get ONE Over watch Shot and its removed, your Location and Surprise shot now given away, Leaning .. when doing so you have 2 choices, Aimed where you get light cover because you stay out in line of fire longer or Hard cover where you pop out fire and pop back fast, lowering your accuracy but giving you hard cover. (light cover-2, Hard Cover -4). , Not a fan the Cardboard Terrain. Mythic your one my favorite Game companies, quality is always great, always keep us updated regularly, But this one I think still needs work if its based on Real assaults. a Good Example ... Try a game of Paint ball, you cant shoot multiple targets all moving at once accurately. , I also hope you have Back Shots have Bonus Dice on Attacks, if you can sneak up behind the other side.
Thank you for your feedback, USS Broom. You’ll see, when you play the game, that you never shoot multiple targets at the same time in this board game. Simply because, unlike in the real world, there’s only one activation at the same time. So you’ll shoot just one target in overwatch. You might shoot it more than once, indeed, if the target moves for instance and is still in your line of sight. Of if the target takes another action (while still in your line of sight). We have cardboard terrain in the core box... But we might have some other options for fans like you during the Kickstarter. Stay tune! And thank you for the good words! ;)

Already forgotten game? Really sorry to read that. Are you going to receive the JoA 1.5 upgrade pack? It’s being printed now. This could renew your interest. In any case, this new game is very different, like all of our games. Hopefully, we’ll make you change your mind eventually.

I had taken the pledge plus for painting, the figurines are beautiful. But at the beginning the atmosphere and the enthusiasm of the community around the project really appealed to me, it was super dynamic. I find it unfortunate that the energy that was released two years ago has disappeared. The game was built in the end with the community of players, its tests, its feedback, its proposals, .... It would be nice that for R6S you present a realistic delivery date, not one with a massive delay like HEL (Hel was planned to be ready next month...) . It's ok that it takes what it takes to develop a good game, that is ok but please, now that you have the experience be honnest and realistic since the start.

« Real time » means you can play with a timer to put pressure on both players. BUT this is not mandatory. You can choose to play with a timer or without! It’s in the rules. If you don’t like timers, or app, you absolutely don’t need to play with it, you can play at your own pace and it works just as fine. ;)
You have to watch a playthrough video, and even better, to play the game! It’s ALL BUT a dicechucker! It’s a game that makes you think, anticipate. A demanding and punishing game. Dice are just there to add a little bit of randomness and undepredictability. VERY little.
« Real time » gameplay is a game option: you can play with a timer to force players to make quick decisions and put pressure on them. But it’s only an option, you can also play without a timer and take all the time you want. :)
