  • Two lemurs are embarking on a risky adventure for the sake of their species. Coquerel’s sifakas Isabella and Wenceslaus are leaving the Duke Lemur Center to fly to Germany.
They will be part of the 8 sifakas to be sent to Europe to help protect the species through a carefully planned breeding program. But given how sensitive sifakas are to stress, the decision to send them abroad was not taken lightly.

I was kind of waiting for this video as I knew that 8 sifakas (correct me if I'm wrong) have been sent over to Europe this year. I've seen videos have been posted from European zoos. Hope they like the new place and have a successful program there! Love sifakas!

Can DLC get different sifakas from Europe as well, like crowned sifaka or others?
