FTII is very close to my heart , been there & few of my colleagues in the Film industry are Alumini , people can network eventually & get placed at jobs . There is no straight placement but yes Post production companies , Ad agencies etc will Give attention to your resume if they see that college name . But its not only about the college , you passout from anywhere but if you have the skill you can get placed . There are always new agenceis coming up . People need to find your route to the industry circle ,& please always write Subject & Body PROPERLY ,Just dont attach your resume & send , tell what you have done attach links at the end , agencies dont care about yours high school marks . anyow if anyone in mumbai is looking for a Full time job in editing we are Hiring in our agency, feel free to reach out

In video editing, there are multiple careers. For example, you can just be a video editor(adding clips, doing cuts and placing effects), then we have motion graphics, which also come under video editing field(not literally, but technically). Editors of dhruv rathee, do you think they are just video editors? NO, they know motion graphics as well and animations. So according to me if you know both motion graphics, animation and video editing, you can create powerful videos(just like dhruv rathee or johny haris or soch by mohak mangal) According to me, just placing cuts and adding deleting clips is too basic, its not even a skill. Anybody can learn and do it, even people can do it with their mobile phones. So according to me, it's not possible to earn good just with basic video editing. So aman bro, which video editor are you?
