      Not only that but the British have a key role in the story of the USA afterall British NA was founded by people too radical to be left in Europe. Flash forward to the revolutionary war the issue of slavery in the USA was the most significant issue. 90 years after that the civil war errupts and the UK along with France and Spain were betting on the south even though the UK was taking a stance against slavery as they did in 1833. That was could a turned into a continuation of the Crimean war or worse became a world war. It's not too farfetched the UK almost declared war against the union during the war not only that but Russia (which backed the union) interned two ships in the USA to prevent an anglo French fleet from boxing them in wiping them out. The south's neurotic and white supremacistic attitude almost k1ll3d 10s of millions.

What needs to be done is debt forgiveness, more investment in our infrastructure & economies, help building up 1st world standard hospitals & refurbish schools, have British businesses set up shop in our countries to help create jobs & more opportunities, give Caribbean businesses full freedom to conduct business in the UK, get rid of visa restrictions on Jamaicans, let our students go to school without the need of a student visa (set up a special program for Commonwealth Caribbean nationals), help us with our crime problem by training more of our police forces & sharing more tech & weapons with us. They didn’t just do it Africans they did it to Scots & Irish as well. It was called indentured servitude. These people were in most cases taken forcibly against their will. They were given a time period & then they were supposed to be free after that time. When your employer doesn’t pay you & you have to reimburse them for your food & lodging. Gaining your “freedom” isn’t that easy as working for 5 or 7 years without pay.

    Somewhere down the comment section there's this phrase: "Land cannot be stolen, only won or lost at war." I was both baffled and outraged the first time I heard this malicious and nonsensical rhetorical argument, that I have only ever heard in English. Capitalist/imperialist powers (especially but not exclusively Anglo-Saxon ones) have always been masters of propaganda through the use of euphemisms and other linguistic methods to depict their abuses and atrocities in a more palatable way to their own support bases. By calling the plunder and displacement of indigenous peoples in colonised regions of the world 'wars,' what they intend is to give the inevitable confrontations and repression of any resistance a veneer of fairness that has never been there. Their so-called 'expeditions' and 'campaigns' have always been wars of conquest declared unilaterally, with the benefit of more advanced technology against populations without access to weapons or militaristic ambitions. So no, land is not simply 'lost' outside of the context of rival imperialist powers. In the context of the relation between global north and global south, land and all of its wealth has always been outright stolen.

      They were aided by the leaders and chiefs of Africa, who caught and sold their own people into slavery. . Sadly this treachery is still continuing to this day. Billions of dollars given to African governments by the West to care for the needs of the people, are stolen and hidden in secret bank accounts right back in Europe, who is LOL, because it is furthering the enrichment of their economy. The minerals are mined and sold by the soldiers for peanuts to the West. The white leaders of South Africa for e.g., was a better steward of the land, they provided housing, jobs for life, good schools, hospitals, and a good pension. The flaw in that is it was ONLY for their white people, if they had spread this wealth fairly they maybe could be in control to this day. Mandela's only claim to fame was 27 years in prison, what did he do for his people? not even Low Income Houses. Mugabe's widow bought a mansion in Dubai, where did all that money come from? She just evicted hundreds of Africans from lands she claims is hers. The white man steals billions for themselves, BUT, they take care of their own people

    • @therealunicornselene
      @therealunicornselene 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Land cannot be stolen. It can be stripped of all its natural resources and its peoples can be subjugated and misplaced but the land itself cannot be stolen.
      The peoples that have lost their independence and their way of life due to colonialism didn't just roll over when they saw strangers with fancy weapons. They fought mightily and gave everything they could. The peoples that were conquered were members of powerful nations with their own order and hierarchy and institutions of education and by insisting that they weren't wars because of their lack of technology you are the one calling them weak and minimizing the glory of their heritage and survival of their culture.
      Regardless of whether the land was freely given or won in an _undoubtedly_ unfair fight the most relevant issue today is the human rights of people alive today and whether people have access to those rights.

    If the royal family is going to continue to exist it is fair to expect significantly more from them. True apologies and reparations to those who suffered under British appalling atrocity.

    i noticed that the monarchy is highly respected and glorified in the UK, maybe even in North America. The kids are taught in schools about how they are loved all over the world and are bowed to whenever they go to different places of the world.
    but in Africa, that's a completely different story. maybe the african leaders do bow and do all sorts of validation acts out of mutual respect or appreciation for financial aid but its very rare from the citizens. to them, the monarchy might be just an ordinary well-to-do family as much other well-to-do families and they have no distinguished title.
    the marriage of harry and megan was a "worldwide" televised event but i noticed that most here dont even pay attention to their affairs or even know that someone else has married into their family. its like they no longer need any apology from them anymore....they just want nothing to do with the monarchy.

It's not too farfetched the UK almost declared war against the union during the war not only that but Russia interned two ships in the USA to prevent an anglo French fleet from boxing them in wiping them out. Was "a breath of fresh air" hearing this.. Terrific reporting and "of course it isn't on all the news channels around the world" of course.. It's really sad so many had to suffer and lost their lives in the homeland to be moved across the sea's to different counties and a shame they even for a time lost the home lands.. It's a travesty but I'm not sure what can be done (can what happen be "undone") I don't think so unfortunately.

    Designate the royal estates as self-supporting conservancies open for tourism revenue, and have the “Royals” live within their true means as other “public servants” (e.g., ambassadors) manage to do. Reparations are due from ill-gotten wealth.
