Hi, wonderful video. Is this hybrid engine combined with the CVT able to avoid the torque converter that would normally be required to pair the ICE to the CVT? This I ask because I think the 5kgm electric motor might be able to power the car through its stalling speeds.
hello! A little more battery power will be needed to eliminate the torque converter. However, this car's CVT with a torque converter lockup mechanism has good fuel efficiency. It was a borrowed car, but it was a good car!
@@FrontierCorrespondent_MAT Thanks for your reply 🙏. Torque converter do engage 1 way clutch to lock with the ICE. But is still being used probably to meet Japanese refinement standards. We Indians have taken after the AMT for its cost advantage. I think a CVT without a torque converter can match the price of an AMT and still be far more refined than the latter. Yes, a slightly bigger battery will be required and the ICE will have to work often as a generator to keep that battery charged during stop&go traffic. Like it does for the air conditioner. I think a direct drive CVT will still be worth it because besides efficiency gains, there will also be significant improvements in response. But mostly because Direct Drive will be a milestone in the evolution of the ICE.😊 If it is technically feasible, I think Suzuki should go for it.

It may be because the "creep phenomenon" of the torque converter type AT is necessary. It can be simulated by motor power, but I think that it requires a large battery. Even so, it's interesting to see the diversity of transmissions in each region.

言い間違いなども字幕で訂正されているので好感が持てました。
寛容なコメントありがとうございます。不勉強だった部分は反省するしかありませんが、代車の事前確認はあえてせず、素のリアクションから色々感じてもらいたいというのは意図したところでもありました。

JB23購入からもう5年ですか...早いですね。
JB64がまだ発表されてなかった時に購入候補に入ってた車ですね。
最後まで迷ってたのはハスラーとS660とN-VANとスープラとアバルトでした。
もしJB64を買わなかったらTH-camで『ジムニー』と検索する事もなかっただろうし
ヨコジムさんの動画も見る機会が無かったんだろうなぁ～と...
しかしハスラー重量軽いですな！
足回りもサッパリしてて凄く違和感を感じた。
おまけにGセンサー！？どの方角に何匹！？恐ろしい機能だ！！違うか...
