  • The Navaratri and Vijayadashami celebrations at Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam in Uyyamballi were a vibrant expression of devotion and culture. The festivities began with the enchanting Golu display in the Sadashivam Hall, where intricately crafted dolls depicted divine deities and stories.
The celebrations for Day 8 commenced with the sacred Gana Homa, setting a tone of auspiciousness for the festivities. This was followed by Kumkuma Archana, accompanied by the chanting of the Lalitha Sahasranama. The evening featured the Maha Abhishekam of Vaatsalyaambika Devi and Chandika Devi, filling the air with the soothing sounds of Vedic chants, devotional bhajans, and the resonant tones of Thavil-Nadaswaram music, creating an atmosphere charged with reverence.
On the ninth day, the grand Chandi Homa was performed, featuring a multitude of offerings and culminating in the Poornahuti. The morning also included Kanya Puja and Suhasini Puja, honouring girls and married women as embodiments of the divine feminine. In the evening, the Deepa Puja took place, with all participants joining together to offer their prayers.
The culmination of the celebrations on Vijayadashami was a grand affair. The Aayudha Puja honoured vehicles and tools, symbolising devotion to service. The evening's highlights included the launch of the Sri Sathya Sai Shubha Dayini logo, a powerful symbol of empowerment for women, celebrated by all participants.
The festivities concluded with a melodious musical program featuring enchanting songs performed by the Geeta Sudha team, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration. As the day ended with the Maha Mangala Aarti and the distribution of prasadam, participants left with hearts full of inspiration, reflecting on the divine qualities of Gnana Shakti, Iccha Shakti, and Kriya Shakti embodied by Goddesses Vaatsalyaambika Devi and Chandika Devi.
The Navaratri and Vijayadashami celebrations at Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam were not merely events, but a profound expression of spirituality and togetherness, leaving a lasting impression on all who participated.
