Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam celebrated its second anniversary on Makara Sankranti, blending the spirit of the festival with love and unity. The day reflected two years of the Ashram’s journey in uplifting communities, fueled by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s message of selfless love.
The festivities began with the unveiling of the Sri Sathya Sai Prema Dayini logo, representing the Sri Sathya Sai Premaarpitham Foundation’s health initiative of providing breakfasts to nearby government schools, symbolizing the nurturing care and nourishment extended to children. The logo depicts children encircling the Earth with Bhagawan at the center, emphasizing how divine love and nourishment help children flourish into capable individuals. The logo's central image depicts a child reaching out through a growing plant, illustrating how children flourish through proper nutrition, similar to a plant's transformation into a tree.
Marking a year of impactful Grama Seva in villages around Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam, the January edition of Divya Praabhavam, the Foundation’s newsletter, was launched. Filled with inspiring stories and testimonials, it highlights the transformative power of love and service in village communities. Following this, the children of Sri Sathya Sai Gnyana Dayini received certificates for their participation in Prema Manjari - Children’s Day events that took place on the New Year’s Day, which filled the hearts of all hearts with joy as the children proudly collected their certificates. The celebrations concluded with a soul-stirring Carnatic music concert by Kumari Sathvika Krishnan, accompanied by Sri Adithya Manikarnike on the violin and Sri Krishnan Ramabadran on the mridangam.
As the celebrations ended, the audience reflected on two years at Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam. This anniversary was a testament to the transformative power of love, unity, and selfless service, leaving all present inspired to continue carrying forward the Foundation’s mission of ‘Live to Love, Live to Serve’.
