The Twilight Zone is 1 of a handful of shows I refer to as "multi-generational" in that a generation who grew up with 1 version of the show would later make a new version of the show, & there have been 4 versions of it; the 1960s, the 1980s, the early 2000s, & the 2020s.

What are you talking about...the writing has for the most part "mediocre" all throughout history...you just remember everything more fondly as you get older. Throughout time, most mass media has to appeal to the lowest denominator, occasionally peaking. So most of the time your entertainment is mediocre...you just feel differently about it. Of course every episode is political. The original Twilight Zone was extremely political. Rod Serling was constantly being told to make the show less political or sponsors would pull out! Rod Serling was an out and proud socialist not some pansy liberal too. If you liked his messages but not the new stuff, you need to look at yourself in the mirror and question if you're actually a socialist too. Maybe the issue is that these messages aren't far enough left leaning for you like the old stuff.

@@Bastion70yea, but its not "in your face" is it, it's the subtle context behind the veil of entertainment that makes it great, don't justify badly written politics with examples that don't make sense, Romeo and Juliet was political but it's not like the author was preaching was it. The art lies in the subtlety.
