After seeing this guy build a Toyota camper minivan and this Ford Transit camper van I consider him a Genius MacGyver in van builds. This guy is one of the best van builders I ever seen. He really should start a camper van build business with hired employees as he guides them. I think he will be very successful in this business with many customers lined up and booked if he hasn't started his own business building camper vans. My favorite features of this van build is the hidden under the counter shower and toilet setup, the hydraulic up and down table/bed board and the drop down bed. Liked and subscribed!

Right at the start... let me congratulate you on your absolutely genius concept and execution of the compact shower and loo compartment! This tops anything I've seen! I always felt that the shower area is lost space for 90% of the time. Now it can be used as worktop 90% of the time. Wishing you every success in your business. Totally amazed by your ingenuity. The bathroom is pure genius. I love how the toilet slides out of the way for showering but still offers privacy when used with the use of the shower curtain. Not to mention it tucking away to give open feel and counter space. Then there’s the bench seating with happy jack bed set up- way more functionality for the small space. All that with the huge kitchen sink, full stove/oven with large propane, 12v AC…the list goes on. I agree with others in this space- you could have your own business just doing these builds. I’m amazed at all the van builders who say there is no smell when using these compost, cassette, dry flush, or even incinerating toilets. If there is a smell in your house going to the bathroom, you better believe there will be one going in your van.
the laveo doesnt, you may have temporary smell while using it but it completely seals off each time its "flushed", and thats another reason for the roof fan directly above.
The bathroom/shower was perfect! I had a similar general idea of a pop up bathroom, but couldn't think of how to fully execute. Your solution is is very practical and simple. Thank you!

0:42 - Very smart bathroom concept. Nice open plan with bathroom acting double duty as counter space, love it!! I can see this concept working in smaller van spaces. This was my favorite part. Very well done! The vent hood is too far up and might not pull much air. Why not Add a cabinet on top and lower vent? 4:10 - cabinet door is shorter than cabinet. Huh? That piece of detail on that lower bed with the cushion sticking out, should be fixed. Upper bed is a great feature! Aluminum framing on cabinets is a very good feature much lighter and stury. fyi to camera person - Focus on van not man. Hold camera steady. Use a wide angle lens. Pan slowly.
Wow. I have a bad case of insomnia & this vlog didn’t help put me to sleep-lol. You did a great job. Ingenious job w/the shower & toilet. Kitchen’s great too. I would have opted for a larger fridge instead of storage area beneath it but would actually prefer to watch vlog again to be sure about that. Love all the nooks & crannies. So many smart ideas I can’t list them all. I’ve seen loads of van tours & have never seen a Happy Jack used for bunk beds or maybe my memory is just failing at the moment. Why don’t more ppl use Happy Jacks? Are they super expensive? I didn’t check out the show notes yet but will; in any case I’d be grateful for your personal take on that. I think you forgot to show the storage above the bed on one or both sides for clothes etc. Or is there no storage in that area? I’d add just for my personal preference some peel & stick back splash for color or some tile on a feature wall. That said, the sink with all it has is brilliant; I love it. And of course the mini-maxx air fan that has exhaust only w/a light to prevent condensation buildup from the shower was another ingenious feature & one I’ve never seen. Overall, extremely well-done. The happijacs are expensive, take up significant room, and are a pain to setup, but for the right person they work great and there really aren't any better options out there right now. A lot of people opt to have more storage with the "garage" style raised bed. My aunt wanted a nice functional sociable type space and doesn't need room for bikes or big gear so this worked well. The happijac limits storage above the bed so. its just those small electronics/media pockets up high. We added some artwork and personal stuff to the walls to spice things up a bit. Im based out of Salt Lake City, I do builds but it's just me so I am pretty swamped and booked out with projects, and trying to carve out some time for my own stuff too. Dude, that was an amazing build. I love the bathroom idea. I love all the windows. Doesn't make you feel boxed in. You have very nice storage space. The happy jack bed is the best I've seen in a van. I love the idea of tucking it away in the ceiling. The auto table is cool AF...GREAT FREAKING JOB, you killed it. #KapKen
Wonderful set up. Love the bathroom set up and that kitchen sink was outstanding! Very useful. The upper bed is great but not fancy on the lower bed. The cushions didn't look nice nor did they look comfortable. Not a fan of partial cushions as they tend to let people or other objects slip in between. I would have preferred cloth cushions but I guess vinyl/leather ones are easier to clean in case of food spills, etc. I saw on another van build where the door handles/pulls were leather straps which to me is a better option to avoid banging into them and getting bruised in such tight spaces. Lighter in weight too. But a great build! Congrats and hope your aunt enjoys it and has many fantastic trips/memories! Good luck with your future design builds Dillon!
Thanks for the response! I agree with your cushion comments, the 4th cushion wedges in to push them all together but there’s always the possibility of slipping into the cracks. They are polyurethane fabric so they are easy to clean but breathable at least so not as uncomfortable as leather or vinyl but if it were my van I probably would have chosen Chenile fabric or something similar. I like the idea of leather pulls! She wanted to keep it fairly traditional looking. Anyway thanks for watching!
That bed is incredible, it would give me room to put the bikes inside, I suspect. Is that a 144 size? That shower is very clever, great kit idea. And that sink so useable, I agree about those tiny bar sinks, I would be preping and cookin some food in mine. Anyway thanks for that awesome tour.
it is the extended transit so 148" wheel base. That was the other idea, my aunt had entertained the idea of carrying a bike under the bed! Thanks for watching!

I've been waiting for this to post from the early looks. What a fantastic van. The live aboard features look like they would make life pretty comfy for one or even two folks. Love the drop down bed so you don't have to make it up every day. Does the table remove or tilt up to open the space back there during non meal/working time? Great job!

That is an ideal layout that provides all amenaties. I prefer the non extended Transit I presume a person could build that layout minus some of the counter space what would be your thoughts on that? Could you estimate a general cost to have someone build that layout. That layout would be ideal for my wife,myself and our ocassional daughter best I've seen.
I have watched ALOT of videos about making a van for van life. This is the best and most intelligent use of space and features. I have seen the elevator bed in the back before. But the restroom is a great idea! Everything else kooks really good as well. What material did you use for walls? Also what size wheelbase and cargo bed length is the van? What did you do for insulation? Thanks for the video! I subbed.
wall panels are ACM with vinyl fabric, its the long wheelbase transit, insulation is 3m thinsulate SM600L. thanks for watching and subscribing, more campers coming soon!

Basically, I would copy all your van if I could, except for the shower. Not really needing the shower for my build.

I have the first build series video on my channel that goes into that a bit. But yes it was a pain, I rerouted it in the wall but had to make some cuts, some of which was in the boron hardened steel. Not easy!

That is an ideal layout that provides all amenaties. I prefer the non extended Transit I presume a person could build that layout minus some of the counter space what would be your thoughts on that? Could you estimate a general cost to have someone build that layout. That layout would be ideal for my wife,myself and our ocassional daughter best I've seen.

It is a dometic rtx 2000 12v ac, purchased from nomadic cooling
I have watched ALOT of videos about making a van for van life. This is the best and most intelligent use of space and features. I have seen the elevator bed in the back before.
But the restroom is a great idea!
Everything else kooks really good as well.
What material did you use for walls? Also what size wheelbase and cargo bed length is the van? What did you do for insulation?

wall panels are ACM with vinyl fabric, its the long wheelbase transit, insulation is 3m thinsulate SM600L. thanks for watching and subscribing, more campers coming soon!

Basically, I would copy all your van if I could, except for the shower. Not really needing the shower for my build.

I have the first build series video on my channel that goes into that a bit. But yes it was a pain, I rerouted it in the wall but had to make some cuts, some of which was in the boron hardened steel. Not easy!

Internal clear height with insulated subfloor is 6’4”, under bed is 5’8”
