Dianne Birch led me here. I'm a big fan of Echo n the Bunnymen n don't like this version, it's too country. However, check out her song, Nothing But A Miracle, in Daryl's House show(from Hall n Oates). I just heard that song the 1st time last night n I think it's awesome.

The Bunnymen were one of the most seminal British post-punk/new wave era bands. Not at all goth, but I think they were appreciated by a lot of goth-lovers, in the same way that post-punk bands like Joy Division and Public Image Ltd. also have a certain goth-following. It's not meant as an insult. I've met goths who love The Smiths, they are not all one-dimensional Mission fans :)

While I see the point in what you're saying, does ANY band consider themselves goth? I think listeners attribute the label according to whether or not it sounds 'dark' to them. EATB sometimes feel dark to me, personally.

This video would be much better without the interview in the middle. Should be at beginning/end.

No, the bunnymen have exactly ONE "goth" song: Killing Moon. They are one of the foundational New Wave bands... The bunnymen are almost always really good to dance to. You cannot dance to Bauhaus... Take it from me. I was there...

Sorry but your wrong I used to fly around the dance floor to Bauhaus Sainty/Telegram Sam/Ziggy etc. The Bunnymen had some great goth songs Killing Moon has been played in every Goth club I have been in.

Echo and the Bunnymen were goth? um, no.

Nice Version...But bloody Hell does she ever take a breath to breathe when she talks??

I was there when the class of '77 imploded. Echo & the Bunnymen are NOT GOTH and certainly they are not NEW WAVE. They are decidedly JANGLEPOP!!! Listen for the angular guitars---they're straight out of KILLING JOKE, for crying out!!!

Echo and the Bunnymen were not goth.

Sorry to say it, but you stole the spirit of that song.
The New Romantics are not "country dudes"
