C'mon bro I came from a 19 Limited and absolutely hated the dial shifter. Nothing feels better than laying your arm on the armrest and hand on the shifter
@lespaulguitarist92 until you’ve had a truck with the knob and realize it opens up a bunch of room in the center console for switches and storage, etc. I wish my Raptor had the knob, the novelty of the shifter is worn off, give me a better designed console.
@@WaterFowler41I have 1500 Limited with the knob & 1500 rebel GT I choose the GT shifter just personal opinion. Everybody has there own personal experiences But yes the space is nice, but I do carry on both trucks they fit perfect
I had 2 TRX's.. loved them but always worried about them either getting stolen, or damaged.. i have a regular 1500 now . The ONLY thing i miss is rhe 300 more HP
Great video! I love the TRX, but like you said, it's wide and would be difficult to maneuver in some places, but would love to have one as a fun vehicle! As a previous Hellcat owner, I understand how you feel about the power and sound! Just can't be beat! I really miss it for sure! Can we expect a Rebel supercharger, or procharger install video in the future? We would love it! Keep up the great content!
I’m not sure I’d go with an sc a wide body fiberglass kit would be cool but to be honest, I’m kinda maxed out on the Rebel so starting to consider what’s next as far as truck platform
You hit it right on the money. Many people asked me why i decided to put almost 20k into a regular ram laramie… why not get a TRX… well i got a good discount on mine instead of paying 10k over sticker back in 2021 and lifted on 35” tires im getting 14mpg in the city 18mpg on the hwy all day long and thats on 87 octane fuel. Between gas and insurance costs i save thousands. The ugly truth about fast cars is that no matter how fast the car is, you will get used to it and it will no longer seem fast to you in a matter of months. Plus after driving a TRX, my Laramie with a BDS lift kit using fox 2.5 dsc shocks is far more comfortable and usable every day. Ram needed to make a TRX with the 6.4 non supercharged version, cut the price by 15k and stop dealers from overcharging
This is why i went with a rebel and not rhe trx, mpg. I dont drive fast and mostly all my offroading is slow soeeds not desert running. But im down for a v6 trx cause now i can get better tires.
I really really wish I could get the OEM upfitter aux switches for my 5th gen. I looked into adding the OEM switches from the 2500 into my 1500 but it was very costly and was worried about possible problems. I think for EVERY modern vehicle with any sort of offroad package, it should be STANDARD to have upfitter switches
Great review! I know you from the forums. I loved your take on the aux switches. Now that I see what can be done through the infotainment system in regards to the aux switch, it makes me wish they all had that option. I bet over 90% of people would add this to their build sheet. Its a no brainer Also, what did you think of the paddle shifters? I think they look awesome, but wonder if I would ever use them
Great review, agree on the shifter, I think they went with it for those macho types who demanded a console shifter (i.e. GT package), also the Alcantara arm rest, don't like my sweaty elbow and arm staining it. The width is an issue for sure, I drove TRX in the Philippines a few months ago, afraid to hit so many things. My Rebel is already almost too big for many places these days. Mpg not too bad, my Rebel barely gets better for just 395hp.
@@WaterFowler41or that, honestly I feel the TRX may be too much of a good thing, I think the V6 Raptor MKII or V8 Raptor MKI is more balanced, but we'll see how I feel in a few years 😊
Only major problem....is that I LOVE my ramboxes. Not an option for the trx. It's a great truck just out of my price range.
Rambox are great. I use them all most all of the time on my 2019 Rebel. And yes love the Hemi.... TRX.
Same. The widebody needs the rambox. Plus they need to add a bed outlet WITH ramboxes so I can charge things while I drive.

Not when you have paddle shifters and 702 hp to play with.
personally love the shifter
most people personally rather have a shifter over a knob.

@@WaterFowler41 yeah, it makes sense to have the knob. But people, somehow, still like the look and feel of the shifter.

It’s so fun that hp is $$$

You don't like the best feature, the center console shifter? I just found your channel I want to like it so bad but what..? 😢
The best feature is the super charger…
Only shifters in the TRX I like are the paddle shifters behind the steering wheel.
Lucky you. Can I meet your friend 😂

The upfitter set up is amazing on the Trx’s

I used the paddle shifters once on the TRX and the novelty wore off pretty quickly. I have them now in my Raptor and I barely use them.
Towing capacity is what killed it for me 😢
Price tag too lol.
hey, its only 100k truck, you''ll need to pay 180k for all those things you mentioned lol
beautiful truck tho, way to much money
Very true
