How to Use the Verb TO HAVE in the Imperative

- As you learn English you'll want to be able to wish people well, or indicate that you hope they'll enjoy something. Maybe you just want to show them something interesting, or give them something. All of those things are done using the verb TO HAVE in the imperative.
In this English lesson you'll learn to wish people well when they leave on a trip, how to get their attention, or simply how to ask them to do something quickly and efficiently using the imperative.
You'll learn phrases like: Have a good trip. Have fun. Have a look at this. Have a seat. Have a good one! and more!

oh yes, Bob has a great talent to express himself very clearly. Another English teachers tend to sloooow down their speaking so that they do not sound naturally. Bob doesn't have to🙂 he's got a perfect phrasing and make much more to be understand without sounding like a robot - gestures, examples etc.

Yes, for sure. I forgot to use that example. If someone was visiting and you were standing in a room with chairs or cushions you could say, "Have a seat. Would you like some tea?" ! 😎🤖👑

Imperative mode but it's used in a very polite mode. This is why non native speakers have problems because it's a little contradictory. Thanks for this amazing lesson

I have a question about "Have mine". Does it mean that you borrow something for a while and you need to give it back? Or you can use it when you give something to someone forever as well?

If I was lending someone something I would say, "Here, use mine!" If I was giving it to them forever I would say, "Here, have mine!" Just a slight difference! 😎🤖👑

Hello Sir Good evening.... Here in this video you said a sentence that is " I usually end up saying have a seat." Please explain the meaning of "end up" here in this sentence. I have seen many saying like this but I don't understand the meaning and how can I use this while speaking.
It means it's the last thing that happens that wasn't necessarily planned. I could say, "Every day I go for a walk, and I usually end up walking for 40 minutes." It simply means, "Every day I go for a walk, I don't plan how long to walk for but it is usually 40 minutes"! 😎🤖👑
