AEG Vampyr Chroma Vacuum Cleaner Unboxing & Demonstration

Another NIB but discontinued vacuum cleaner to look at today and probably one of the most stylish machines in my collection. As well as taking an in depth look at this German made bagged vacuum, I put it through its paces on carpet using both of the supplied floor heads.

AEG now is mark of Electrolux Group only. But original german design is cult :) This days model "AEG" is Electrolux Wampyr for promotional actions in East Europe markets...

Ive got a Vampyr 5500, which has an IR handle power control. And it has the soft start you are missing here. 😉 So nice to see something i use here.
Just the cord mechanism lost the spring power over the years.

These machines became legends. I think that if it was manufactured before 1992 the cord would not be fitted with a plug if shipped to England. That could be the explainationon concerning the British manufactured plug.

You can buy a HEPA filter instead of the black foam. It slides in.
