The new pieces really are a testament to how much the devs have been listening to their entire community. Often times the portion of communities that focus on building in games like this get over-looked in updates. They really hit the mark. Also your bridge just gave me a really cool idea for a massive wall idea.
The new pieces looks amazing shape wise, but i agree texture is a bit boring compared to the black marble. A combo of those will work really well i bet. As for the expansion in shapes they’ve done a good job and was something the builder community was hopeful to finally get - i can’t wait to dive in and experiment. If that was bc of listening to the player base, i tip my hat to them. A real testament would be to allow free rotation as a default or choice within the core game and make building more intuitive imo. Although the mechanics already offer a lot of variation, it is still put in a box because they choose to have it like that. I will be building with gizmo and infinity hammer mod bc i need that extra spice and i enjoy the awesome building part of the game to just be super creative.
I only play Valheim for building, exploration, and resource gathering. I don't like combat, so I play in peaceful mode and cheat-kill bosses and tougher monsters when I need their resources. I like to build networks of paths connecting various bases, outposts, and resource gathering areas. Bridges naturally form a major part of these transportation networks. Wood, stone, and black marble already provided a lot of good options for bridges, but these new materials look ideal. I've started a new game, and I'm progressing through the areas as fast as I can and will hopefully reach the Ashlands before long. I'm glad to see the developers providing a lot of good content for people like me who aren't combat focused.
Oh yeses. Most likely they would all be broken. (Which I'm ok with) And there should also be parts of paths that lead to both ends of the bridge, even if they don't lead anywhere. Since every house is abandoned by any living viking, it would add to the atmosphere of the world, like the abandoned houses do. I love this idea
This bridge looks excellent. My favorite part is the V notch in the stone on top of the tower. I imagine that V notch between stone uprights as battlements. Stone pillars to anchor the arches and help detail the wall. The V notch allows a player to shoot down across a moat, while providing some cover.
Awesome! Can’t wait to get a chance to build with the new stuff. I’ve been getting some decent ideas, and your builds always give me more ideas! I have a few wooden structures that I just couldn’t complete, but with the new wood pieces, I think I can get those done. And the new stone is great for some of my other incomplete structures. Keep up the awesome work.
Excellent work, I love a build that serves a purpose. May I request a bridge that the new ship can pass underneath? Heck if even the longship can go through, that would be amazing. Thanks!
Quite nice! A small part of me was hoping for steam coming off where stone and water touch. But that's the same irrational part that still tries to land a falling tree on top of a troll.
The simultaneous joy and panic at realizing I'll want to review my current big base builds on my persistent server and see what ways I can incorporate the new build bits.
I think using the middle piece for the arches would make them more rounded like earlier vaults typically were, definetly gonna try that myself, as I adore the round vaulted stone bridges you can find here in sweden.
Just passing by and saying hello. I'm glad your videos are back but i wont be watching them for a while, i dont want to spoil myself. So see you next time !

The shapes of the new pieces are amazing but the texture is so flat. Really wish they'd add a cobblestone version too

as a builder myself, i found new grausten pieces just terrible for building anything but bridges/altars
@@DoctorStrogg123 Look at the bright side, maybe in another 2 years they'll add something useful

I think it would be super cool if bridges like this were a part of the seed generation, like the abandoned villages. It would make sense anyways.
Here's hoping! Have you suggested this on their discord?

Thanks for sharing your art man, it generates ideas for more art.
I’m like ChatGPT

You gave me some cool ideas

Future plans! But I do want to make one of does.
Looks awesome! I cant wait to work with these pieces and I also cant wait to see what else you build with all the new toys
Quite nice!

Man you are so creative and build so much beautiful structures
We used to build stuff like this before with regular stone.
Now that the new rock came out, these structures are so easy to build.
Hell yeah brother! I love the new build pieces!

if you plant vines on a pillar of the bridge near the shore, will they grow across the bridge?
super clean. i love it.

So see you next time !
We need people like this in zombie apocalypse 😂😂😂
Building a bridge:
Step 1: Build a bridge to stand on while you build your bridge 😆
Your builds rock my socks.
Gothic builds are coming back in style with the new pieces i reckon 😉
i really like how everybody cheats the shiet out of this game :D
very cool kanye
There is no way the new type of ship will go under that bridge though.
I really love the building part of this game but the new pillars just seem to have too many snap-points.
(or maybe thats just me)
Looks like a nice Building at the start...
but then -> fly command -> done! 👎👎
everyone can do everything while cheating!
You clearly didn’t watch the video haha, he stops during the video and shows how to do it without flying…..
High time for templates
