    this synth will be a much sought after synth in the future . A classic. I have the MK1 and I love it and use it everyday just to listen to the sounds.

      It is pretty interesting and unique synth. But I think it lacks the magic of analog syths. Minilogue XD ftw

      Its just a Rompler with more steps, and just a VST in a box with keys.

      @@videosuperhighway7655 I don't know about that. I have had a shit ton of VST's and they just don't sound like hardware.

      @@InFamousProductions I agree with that. I have a Wavestate SE and every day it surprises me with how expressive it can be.

    Sounds brilliant but for the price they should have upgraded the tiny screen.

  • @countyfair74
    @countyfair74 ปีที่แล้ว +26

    Should have made it 76-keys, so they could charge a few thousand dollars more.

    I hear people saying this is a dream synth, but a lot of the patches in this video sound a bit cold to me. Anybody else getting that impression?

    • @gacekwilkooki
      @gacekwilkooki ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Cold as heck, and I love it! We need more of the digital coldness in the world of analog muffled, swampy sounds.

    • @tommyg5095
      @tommyg5095 ปีที่แล้ว

      Patches are a starting point of reference. Yes, they are what they are, but, it's up to youtopatch the sounds that ultimately you will like and use. Factory patches are pretty much meaningless.

    I understand why from a cost point of view they didn't change the PCB and hence the knob layout much, but it really doesn't make sense from a purely interface point of view not to use the real estate on the front panel to make it knob per function. I've been hoping for a 61 key Opsix to replace my 37, but if this is what is in store, I'm not overly positive about what we'd get if they did an Opsix SE.

    • @tommyg5095
      @tommyg5095 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Once again, these corporations just nickle and dime us to tears with very small improvements to already existing products. Yes, they could have given more knob per function, but they are just milking the buyers. Oh yeah, I want the platinum colored one, for $200 more. Everyone knows platinum sounds better!!!

    Thanks for sharing. Quick question. Is the keybed bottom made of metal/plastic or as the Nautilus 88 keys made of MDF?

  • @orincat10
    @orincat10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    What would be an even better idea would be if korg sold just the keybed and allowed you to drop in your original opsix/modwave/wavestate.

  • @johannesobier2477
    @johannesobier2477 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Good sounding machine. Nice desing. But they really should equip it with encoders instead of poties. With poties every knob is in the false position when switching to another sound.

    3K AUD for this? That's an absolute joke, you can get an OG WS for $799, probably the MKII, add your own keybed, which I suggest something like the Blofeld and you still have around 1K left in your pocket.
    I know the prices will come down but nah just nah.

  • @samanthatox

    My man, when you don’t know what you r talking about, one should not pollute the space like you do. Wavestate mk1 was perfect. You don t need more knobs, there s is plenty enough. You don t get the idea of that synth. It is the wavestation (i own both) plus a lot more. The fact that they make this se version is a dream come true, for the keyboard and the aftertouch which was the real missing feature in mk1. Internet is the place where people love to whimp all the time… i get it. But what a boring place. I had to answer this. Peace
