Yay! Proxmox content! I'd love to see a general video over storage and how to use it in various containers. Be it large pools outside of the host machine, or for guys like me with 3 random drives in their host and not knowing the best way to use them. Cheers!
Great video man. I'm gonna be using proxmox at work so I need to get use to it since I previously used vmware esxi. Looking forward to see the rest of your content
Great video. I had trouble running proprietary software on my install of Server 2019 (home/works DL360) as I just ran with default settings and did not use (or know about) the Virtio drivers. So followed your tutorial, and all the services started right up :-) Thanks
Hey @LearnLinuxTV, I really like your videos. Especially for my current usecase I am in need to install Win2k19 on a fresh proxmox server, so that video just came perfect in time! Looking forward to all of your videos coming in future, I appreciate your work. Cheers!
In addition to that I might have a question which would be interesting to solve in another future-video. I have setup a server with 6x4TB HDD (HW RAID) and 2x250GB SSD (HW RAID). Now I would like to separate OS and Data inside Proxmox, so that every VM has its OS on the SSD-RAID and its Data on the HDD-RAID. Basically this would be a video on how to use LVM I guess, but if you come across the opportunity to create a video on what to consider (e.g. RAID Levels, Rebuild Timings, Performance, etc.) and how to do that on Proxmox, me and I guess many of the TH-cam IT-based community would be happy to see. Cheers!
Thanks for covering Proxmox - will you be able to do a general configuration/best practice for getting started with it? I’m learning how to use it and coming from ESXi but like what I’ve seen so far
Thanks for the great video on adding a Windows 2019 Server on Proxmox. I have a question, how would I add an additional hard drive to the Windows environment? i.e. OS: C, Data: D. I like to keep my users data on a different partition or drive in the event I would ever need to reload the operating system.
I have a question. Why is the internet not working on my WinServer2019 VM? I have followed all your steps and it won't work. I have another VM running and it's internet is working. Don't their internet both work on the same time?
Tried several times with Proxmox VE 7-4-16, and several different versions of the drivers, even the one you use in the video ver 1.85. It never allow me to complete the install. 4 CPU, 8182 RAM, 100 GB HD in LVM to move later to ZFS. I'm giving up. Too much time on Windows,
I can’t imagine running proxmox OR win server that’s NOT in a HA Cluster. In a proxmox HA cluster, would you recommend installing Windows on each node, or defer all failover management to proxmox??
I tried to install Windows Server for the last few days but no matter what I do, the network driver wont install. The virtio driver fails to install due timeout. I also tried to connect a USB network adapter and passthrough the USB port. On my windows 10 and 11 machines the virtio and USB network adapter show up, but no matter what I do I don't get a Network Adapter to show up in CMD nor in the Network menu. I have all done like in the video. Only difference is that I use UEFI and TPM, but I think that shouldn't be a problem. Im on 7.2-11 and used an eval version of Windows Server 2019 and 2016. My hardware is a Ryzen 2400g on a Gigabyte Mainboard, intel Nic is a E1000. My USB Nic is a Realtek RTL8139. I really don't know where the problem could be. Do you guys have any suggestion?
I have problems activating the Windows Server 2019 license, when clicking on "change product key" the "Enter a product key" window does not appear and I could not activate it. What could I do to solve this incident? I did a test with Windows server 2012 and the activation process works correctly. Thank you and I hope someone can help me.
i have try to install on virtualbox proxmox, i install WinServer 2k19 i follow all step but i can't install manually driver i have install with file "Virttio-win-guest-tools" all driver installed but no connection. kali and Pop!Os work great but WinServ2k19 no :( if sommeone can help me is welcome.
wow...a lot more manual work getting drivers installed compared with ESXi or vmware workstation. seems strange installing a red hat driver on a windows server
this was excellent, straight to the point, no annoying sounds or music. KEEP IT UP. helped me in 2024

Great video man. I'm gonna be using proxmox at work so I need to get use to it since I previously used vmware esxi. Looking forward to see the rest of your content
Great guide thank you! I'm rebuilding my server from scratch and I had forgotten all the steps.
Back again here after a few years but to do a repeat,,, so great to have your step-by-step process,,,, flawless.... now to load a LLM...

Great T Shirt, great video; just what I needed. Thanks
👍 (If I only had the hardware to run ProxMox 🤷♂️)
This is definitely a channel that should also be on LBRY's Odysee
Damn, that intro music is classic! I used that in my videos back in 2006

Thanks, I want know it’s possible to install hyper-V rule Inside of the VM 2K19?
Yes it is. The host, windows in this case, can run as any normal os, so you can install whatever you want and it will manage his assigned resources
im having issues with the virtual machine starting after completed the windows server setup on my Proxmox VM error? and advice
How can I change the display resolution? I have amd cpu with IGP. The VM's display is default.

I get "memory management" bsod(with 2016) and "kernel security check"(2019) bsod when booting up the VM. Got any idea what might be causing this?

Plz review about garuda Linux
wow...a lot more manual work getting drivers installed compared with ESXi or vmware workstation. seems strange installing a red hat driver on a windows server
ISO ?????
Wondering if Zentyal server is a good replacement for Win2k19 server in this use case.
:)
Like for Linux! Not for W server.
Linux is not always the best option and Windows Server is pretty solid. It's not just a server version of Windows 10.
...and by the end of the video you're going to realize how horrible windows server is. Lol.
amazing video thanks
