I respect this band so much. I met Ryan the bass player and the first time i met him he was telling a fan to finish his college and never stop that. He also hung out with me after the show and was so down to earth. Not only are they a good band they are truly a positive role model in their ventures.

I love this band just as much as you guys, but the whole "feud" did start with Mushroomhead fans. It started with Mushroomhead fans throwing a padlock at Paul Gray, the bassist for Slipknot before he died in 2010. Why? Because of his mask. Both he and Pig Benis wore pig masks, but Paul didn't have a padlock going through its' nose. That's it, that's all there is to it. Both bands have respect for each other and there are even discussions about doing a tour together. So yes, it did start with Mushroomhead fans, and apparently Slipknot fans are trying to fight back, even though the fight ended about 10 years ago. I consider myself both a Slipknot and Mushroomhead fan and I would and could never hate either band. They're both great in their own right, and this bullshit just needs to stop. One side has to start, and even though, at large, Mushroomhead fans seem to be the most mature of the two, I think it's better for both parties if we just stop talking crap about Slipknot. Does this mean they will also stop? Not sure, but yes, they probably will. I'm 36 been listening to Mushroomhead since I was 17. I fell in love instantly. Sun doesn't rise was the first song I heard. I listen to old and new every day. Their logo Stitch face was my second tattoo 17.

Sid happens to be cool with them and has hung out with them a few times and even did something with one of Mushroomhead's side projects called 10,000 Cadillacs.
They have a lot of great songs. I would recommend checking out their albums XIII, Savior Sorrow, The Righteous and The Butterfly, and the compilation album XX.

I was there during both Mushroomhead and slipknot's birth. We true fans know that the "war" between the bands and fan was totally made up by the media. They just wanted to share there music for us to enjoy, simple as that.

I'm a bit older than most on YT, and had been away from music for some years "don't ask.. lol" I was just introduced to Slipknot, and now own every album, then I see Mushroomhead.. I think holyshit!! Theres a copycat band!! Until I listened to them, NOTHING Like Slipknot, but just as wicked.. Turns out That Mushroomhead was out a few years before Slipknot, and they even give SK credit for the resurgence in their music.. So anyone bitching etc. doesn't know the whole story.. I don't know about y'all but so far "Out of my Mind" is one of my favorites.. Any other suggestions to listen to?? It is MUSIC not a fucking Street gang.. People really can like and enjoy BOTH Bands Equally!!
Sid happens to be cool with them and has hung out with them a few times and even did something with one of Mushroomhead's side projects called 10,000 Cadillacs.
They have a lot of great songs. I would recommend checking out their albums XIII, Savior Sorrow, The Righteous and The Butterfly, and the compilation album XX.

yeah the bands themselves have never had problems with each other its been the fans who have found it difficult to admit the fact that the bands are aloud to look similar without being copy cats. just because some of the masks and outfits resemble each other doesn't mean that they copy each other

I saw these guys live a few years ago, and this is one example of a band who is literally x100 better live. Their performance and showmanship is great.

I rememeber my first concert was mushroomhead in joliet illinois. I was brought onto the bus and went and got the logo tattooed the very next day. Respect. Awesome people and even more awesome music

I have loved this song so long. Its simply brilliant. The lyrics are superb. The composition of the song combined with the lyrics and way they are sung is unlike any other. Great song. Its very hard hitting and it actually, consistantly, makes sense throughout. Quite an accomplishment.

I was there during both Mushroomhead and slipknot's birth. We true fans know that the "war" between the bands and fan was totally made up by the media. They just wanted to share there music for us to enjoy, simple as that.
they played in Jacksonville nc. outside camp Lejeune. as a marine i never expected my four years to be fancy at all. but i felt like some bands made their way towards us. as a 20 year old. and my struggles. mushroomhead showed up at my door in my life. I'll never forget those water drums. spiritually and hatefully of who i was. they gave me comfort. I'm not a religious man. but they played a chord of my soul whenever i saw them. there's strength in the forsaken

I discovered Mushroomhead by being a bored 21 year old itching to spend money on some CDs in Walmart. XX and XIII were on the shelf. I bought them on the album art alone. Never looked back.
These guys have enough variation in their songs that I never get sick of them. Plus they fuggin rock.

How I met my soulmate. Region ZP UA. Couple of local bands warming up and during sessions various songs by popular bands flashed and then somebody brings up this track - my reaction was - wow here we go! I thought nobody would ever even not hear but to play it! ........... That's how I found my man up there.
Out of all their work this song I most relate to.... Every single word, it's so beautiful and it hurts a bit at times listening to it and feeling it. Thank you guys, your music is therapeutic for me
