I'm one of them but my uncle has a Model X and Model 3 so I have a pretty good first-hand understanding from experience
I love the phone key feature. I’ve used it several times when my uncle let me use his Model 3. Never had an issue with it. After trying it for the first time I definitely noticed how much space I saved in my pocket without having to carry a key fob like my uncle’s Model X needs.
Do you now!!!! Are you going to get the New Tesla butt plug and every time you fart it locks and unlocks your car??? I bet you would love that!!!

@@Kafilkavich23bruh what 😂 by saving all the space I can just have my AirPods case connected to only a key case for mailbox and other keys and Ridge Wallet in My left pocket and my phone in my right pocket. That reduces the volume by like 80%
Btw for everyone, note that this is only available with all Model 3 and Y and 2021+ refresh Model S and X. Legacy Model S and X are only compatible with the key fob, and even pairing a new key fob with them require you to go to a Tesla service center.
btw i just took delivery a couple days ago, didnt have to do anything with the screen or keycard, after accepting delivery i just tapped "set up phone key", then waited like 10 seconds for it to work.
I have a tesla model y and the phone key is very convenient

@@a-jerk your name already matches the knowledge of EVs. It doesnt take 20 Hrs (only if charging from an outlet). The car gets charged at a Supercharger in 25 mins. Which is a perfect time

For the Model 3 and y tap it on the center console
The key card for older Model 3 and current Model Y. In Model S, X, and refresh Model 3, you use the charging pad.

It’s all fun and games until your phone gets stolen
If you're worried about you phone getting stolen, or any other key, you should setup a code to drive. That way even if someone has your key, they can't drive away.

@@theadventureinsider yeah but if somebody’s stealing your phone and you have a separate key fob they’re not gaining access to your car as well
you can always lock your car from another device or shoot tesla a message. Safer than having a keyfob like with any other car, actually. Plus, someone who steals your phone will never know where your car is or which one it is unless they unlock it, which good luck if it's an iPhone or most modern androids. Phone muggers today only ever resell the phone parts anyways
@@Forza_5_Edits yes they can get access, the car recognizes your phone and lets you drive off. Unless you use PIN to Drive, obviously (which is what I will have enabled 24/7 when I get my Tesla in 4 years). But you need to know the account password to remove the account from the car let alone disable mobile access.
