Pretty sure you already know this jst but after Lars’s den stomp on counter hit sen 1 is guaranteed which is pretty deadly you can look into it if you’ll like I recommend it’s really strong against mashing opponents but again it’s up to you if you wanna look into that glad to see you back man you really helped me get my Lars to where he’s at you tendo and Niko and lmg mob and kaizoku Lars really got my Lars right my Lars is currently at Tekken for supreme also great video man
Yep, I do know this and I show examples of how to link the counter-hits from certain options in this video. Thanks for watching, I appreciate the kind words also.
FF4,2 - Den3+4 - Hold forward - Sen2 - D1+2 - any Lars mains that read this, your welcome. also good video by JST this is infact his deadliest mix that no Lars players ever go for that sequence got me to tekken king unchecked by alot of players. have yet to test this in gold ranks though
I'm just two ranks away from TK and everyday I'm seeing more advice like PhiDX training maximum's Lars to get Tekken King. I did already start doing this because I watched the whole thing live and wow I got a 7 win streak in Kishin
Thank you for this. As a Lars main. I truly appreciate all the work you put in, to give us the chance to be much better with this character. I'm not where I want to be, skills wise with Lars. But I'm slowly getting there. But as most people that watch videos like this. We are gonna be a little better than casuals, who don't put in the work. And that's just a fact. Go check out a local cidercade, that has Tekken 8. You'll run that game the whole time you're there. Videos like this help you get there. And I'm not saying it to show off or anything. But if you're putting in the lab hours and everything, you're able to trap people, and all that. I'm not really gonna take it easy on people. You know what I'm saying. Online matches, sure i lose. But against casuals, nope. Anyway, thank you.
Not entirely correct at 4:15 - if they mash in these exact flowchart, both mixups are interruptible. At +9 after ff4,2 on hit, DEN 3+4 is i22 which means i13 pokes trade and i12 will win. At +4 after DEN 3+4~f on hit, SEN 2 is i17 which is the same situation as before. So DEN 2 and SEN 1 or SEN 3+4 are actually not only for discouraging ducking, they also condition to not retaliate, because lows are fake mixups.
JST! In tournament play they just block ff4 because its reactable. You know the rest. But i agree if somebody does get by that move it can cause a lot of trouble.
Hellsweeps aren't reactable. Anyone who says they are blocking anything at 21 frames of start up, even "pros", are lying to you. Unless it's the most unique animation in the world. MAYBE on the +17 after heat engager since you can't do anything BUT take a mid/low guess and you can just concentrate on ID'ing it. But if are paying that much attention to whether Lars, or any Mishima, is doing hellsweep in neutral then well you have given up way too much mental stack anyway and the rest of your game is suffering. Blocking hellsweeps are generally done on situation and context.
'Reactable' is subjective, and there's plenty of players that can't react to a hellsweep consistently. So while it's risky, it's still a viable option tbh. Thanks for watching 👍
100% agree. I've fought multiple actual pros in tournament and casuals (recently at VSF: Naria, Double, for example) and they both got hit by Lars' hellsweep mix. At my locals, I've played players of high reknown and they've got hit by it too, both during a Heat Engager scenario and just randomly too. It's impossible to be ready for a hellsweep all the time, it's mostly reads and preparation.
This is not related to anything but I got Tekken 8 yesterday (About to hit Red ranks soon been having a blast but gotta break the Tekken 7 muscle memory still since no screw or SEN DF1) but is there any uses for WR DEN? Other than maybe reaching the wall to finish the Lars Wall combo? Genuinely curious
Yes, there are - wall carry obviously, but you can use it neutral with WR DEN1+2 or DEN1,2 to catch people trying to run. It's also useful in very specific combo routes.
This will only work around mid to high ranks agaisnt defensive players, alot of lars mix is fake you can jab him out of dynamic entry and you can low parry this entire mix, AND if your fighting a lars or a bryan and ik your gonna low in silent entry im just gonna back 4 and you blow up
I love how it came to the point where we Lars mains are praising a sequence that gona get us launched by 2/4 moves :D
Haha nah it's not like that - it's just that this is a really explosive option for the risk.
Ah the Lars sacred text, finally another mix up!
Bro you truly are the grandmaster of all Lars out there. I appreciate the tech 🤝🥹
Thank you so much, I'm happy these vids can help people.

You can go all the way, keep going!

Yep, it'll take you surprisingly far! Thanks so much for watching 🙂

Thank you so much for such a detailed comment. Good luck and have fun with everything you do with Lars 👍
You the reason I'm Battle Ruler rn
Might actually hit Fujin with this 🤝
Good luck, I believe in you!
Leveled up my game. Earned my sub. Thanks man!
That's awesome, I'm happy to help 👍
Thank you for the tech JST 😭 gonna abuse this lmao
You should, it's quite powerful!
Yes, I see what you're saying, and what you mean.
In blue ranks we just go for the low options while the king players cycle between power crushing, holding back or mashing 🤣
Yeah, this can be quite good for characters with habits like that

I think Lars has one of the most react-able hellsweep out there. His leg swing at the beginning is too much visual clue.
As I mentioned to another comment, reactable is subjective and not everyone, even at high level, can consistently react to it.
CHECK THOSE SHOES OUT, SAVE THE RECEIPT
Haha, thanks for watching dude 😁
The only exception to this is Yoshi’s flash, my homeboy I play a lot with catches it every single time
I typically gotta hit SEN4 for a hard read though.
Yeah exactly - SEN4 beats Yoshi's Flash. But FF4,2 into DEN1,2 or DEN1+2 will also beat Yoshi's Flash. Trust me, try it.
sensei wu
Lesgoooooo lars
how do you get the CPU's punish option to come out after a low hit/block? for some reason mine doesn't do anything after low attacks
I think you have to be on offense training and not defense.
under punish options, you have to set a punish option for crouching. it's in the same menu, under your standing punish slots
@ whaat I had no idea there were different punish options. I gotta read closer lmao
@EricSamaNYC lol it's cool, they don't do the best job of letting you know imo

@JusticeSoulTuna oooh okay Imma try that stuff after work! I might start streaming again and try and climb! Thanks for the awesome Lars videos! 💪🏿
you can pick up post Unblockable with that for a turn back combo with WR DEN2
Nobody does that with Lars 🤣 but thanks for the idea
Bro Maximillian Dood name dropped u in his new video with PhiDx and is watching ur combo videos
Yeah, I heard about that - I'm prettty humbled to know that he's still checking out my content 😁
Den 12 is dead on duck tho. It jail
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ 😊😊😊😊😊 nice
Idk if you know this but you are breeding a bunch of lars assassins with these videos 😂.
