saved my archi: design project! final presentation in 2 days!
my first time seeing this vid, the part you filed the holes with glass I was expecting you will copy/cut them from the duplicate you made and change them to glass and bring them to the original pavilion, well its good though. its another short cut!

Thanks boss. Expensive pavilion to build 😄 Didn't know how to create the new contour of a shell.
Question: When you did the glass, I thought you would SEO the glass shell with the slabs using intersection. Would that have left the bits of glass only?
Cheers. Keep up with the good work

You could do it that way but the the glass would have the same thickness as the pavilion shell. This is usually not the case.

@@ASMTechbase Thank you for your reply. I'd have thought that the thickness of the glass is independent and controlled by the shell tool thickness. A SEO on it should only remove some parts but not affect its thickness. Am I missing something? Sorry to be a pain.

Hello, I can't understand what do you do in 2:02 minute and after that you have a red spline

Hi, the red spline I created to use as a "cut" for the shell. You can see in the tutorial if you keep following it is quite easy to cut/shape the shell "along" the spline I created. I hope this helps.

can you make shapes with "SHELL" that are not symetric ?

Yes you just need to change from the revolve method to either the extruded or ruled shell option before you start modeling.

    • @saurabhkawale5204

@@ASMTechbase sir when you were using slab tool, you changed its layer property to cutting layer this option of cutting layer and all the options followed by 3d at the start are not showing on my window

@@saurabhkawale5204 these are just layer name. You easy create them yourself. Click new and name the layer: cutting element. Then you can use this layer to put your cutting elements on to it.
