      @@MJTiffPlumbing Awesome. Couple of questions mate, first off what's your preferred [personally] adhesive to use to fix down a shower tray? S&C, CT1, tile adhesive, etc, etc
      Secondly, customer has mega build up of black sludge-like mould above water level in concealed cistern and constantly in the tip of shower head and taps, even after having a new bathroom installed (years ago) I thought it might be a combination of normal build up from not wiping down properly but the contained cistern in a vanity unit has MEGA build up, so perhaps lack of an extractor in the bathroom? What you think

    We had the same problem, the floor was all rotted through in our bathroom near the sink and the joists were gone too. Hi Mark nice video, why you drill into the tiles to fix the shower door when you bonded The shower door to the tiles, there was only 10-20mm max each side.. not enough to take the middle out and install correctly. Hmm wrong size of door or the chippies and tiler made the space to small..!!

    At 39.03 you show the isolator for the cistern at the bottom of the cabinet. The back board behind the pan would be fixed in so it would be very difficult to reach right down through the removable front board to switch off the water!! I always bring the cold feed up so the isolator can be accessed easily especially for the customer who might need to do that when you are not available. Bathroom looks superb.

    Quality job !!! BUT 2 things. One usually have a mirror above sink fo shaving. Should sink and toilet be switched to allow mirror on wall ?
    Can the bath panel be taken off without moving end unit

    • @MJTiffPlumbing
      @MJTiffPlumbing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Customer didn’t want a mirror on the wall….. hence there is no mirror on the wall, customer is a female who lives alone so no need for shaving point 😉
      And yes, bath panel is removable
      BUT….. Thanks for watching😉

    Do you not use adhesive tape around the shower tray ? I don't know anyone who ever fits a tray without it , moves with the tray . Silicone will only last a while

    • @MJTiffPlumbing
      @MJTiffPlumbing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There’s many different ways to fit trays, I have used the sealing kits, I’ve also just used silicone and tanking etc…. And in 26years of fitting bathrooms etc ive never ever had an issue…
      If you watch some of the other bathroom installs you will see it being used👍🏼

    I’ve got a load of stainless steel pipe to cut out of a kitchen I’m installing tomorrow as we’ve ripped the old kitchen out and never seen so many compression fittings put in as they’ve had constant leaks. Can I use my normal pipe slice to cut it or is it an angle grinder/hacksaw job?

    • @MJTiffPlumbing
      @MJTiffPlumbing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use a slice but it will batter the wheel...... Tough stuff

    • @tomwills2309

      @@MJTiffPlumbing sound. I might just use the angle grinder and a file. I’d rip the whole lot out but the whole house is done in it and I’m only down to do the kitchen so I want to rip it out as it’s me who is guaranteeing the work.
