      Hey thanks- I think I might a finished it in the Traeger if that’s what I cooked on (for ease) but definitely didn’t wanna waste anymore time/wood so I’m glad to know others use the oven as well!!! Also - thanks for always checking my videos out Steve!!

    Opening the smoker causes a big drop in temperature, within seconds it will reach the ambient. While this won't really contribute to the stall, it will increase your overall cooking time, but as you dial it in will need to do so less.

    Good job dude just proves you don't need a fancy smoker to make great food.

    Did you have to use lighter fluid on the tumbleweeds because it was raining?

    • @BarbecueElementary
      @BarbecueElementary  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya I usually use lighter fluid on the weeds- but not just because it was raining. It probably doesn’t help very much because the tumbleweeds catch pretty quickly anyways but a little squirt saves a couple of seconds and it definitely removed the potential rain barrier on this specific cook!

      @@BarbecueElementary No worries Brother. I’m Mexican. 😂 You should try making your own corn tortillas with a Mexican tortilla press. It’s pretty simple. Well worth it. There is a special Masa brand I use and I buy it at A Mexican Meat Market.

      @@greatjuankenobi217 I’m going to look at presses now- should I be looking for one that presses the dough before or while you’re cooking?

    • @greatjuankenobi217
      @greatjuankenobi217 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BarbecueElementary it’s a manual steel type press. Maybe I can send I link to the type I’m referring. 🦾🦾👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 You can make em while your cooking your meats. Or you can make em ahead of time and reheat the tortillas. 💯💯☝🏽
