    I’m really enjoying your reviews. Fantastic production values. I hope your efforts get more views, but they do not go unnoticed by me. Thanks!

    The Wurkkos flashlights are really fantastic not just for the excellent prices but for their well though out functionality, great fit n finish n lasting ability. Thanks for another excellent n informative review. Oh n the heads up on the nitecore md, extra thanks. As an NYC medic, being able to clean my tools (esp my flashlight) on the go w alcohol is fantastic. I will pass that info on as will I pass on your channel to my Friends.

    Hey, I've discovered your channel a few weeks back and already watched probably almost all of it. Thank you for your reviews, they are a joy to watch. Just wanted to point out that you do great with music. The intro in this video with "Lights" is spot on. Please continue with this work
    (I also might watch you for high quality beamshots comparisons but that will be our little secret!)

    Good to point out that tint shift. I find Thrunite pretty bad for the fried egg effect with the LED bins they choose. I've owned a few Thrunite's that have that issue. Worst one being the TH20 headlamp in neutral. Wurkkos seems to do some really good designs for great low cost. I ordered recently the Wurkkos TS30 which is on sale for $32 on Wurkkos website and that cost for a 21700 size 5950 lumen, comes with 2 strike bezels, USB-C rechargeable flashlight running 3x SST40 is pretty amazing.

    As another rotini to consider in this category, I’d recommend the Skilhunt M150. Excellent small edc, magnetic charging, great side switch, or the M200, which is a bit bigger, but has a great emitter.

    • @LuxWad
      @LuxWad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The M150 looks great, thanks for recommendation! I hadn't really looked at it before, I was considering getting an M200 though.
      I would actually really like to compare the M200 to the S2r Baton ii, I think that would be fun.

      @@LuxWad I’d like to see that review! I have an M150 that I swapped an SST20 4000k into. 95 CRI should be excellent. It’s in the mail from the modder to me now.

      Thanks, I'm glad you liked the video! Honestly the hardest part was narrowing down the the selection, I wanted to keep it at three but there are just so many good options

      I have been carrying the Astrolux K2 on the keychain for the last few weeks its a great light.

    • @LuxWad
      @LuxWad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The K2 looks great, I saw your keychain video and enjoyed it. TBH my video probably won't come out until a long time from now, my queue is a little bloated

    Please do a review of the Wurrkos FC12.
    I just bought it for under U.S$30 including a battery & delivery from Aliexpress.
    2000 lumens, a throw of 345 metres, a side switch and a tail switch.

    Question concerning the battery included with the W1…
    1. Does the battery itself have protection circuitry, or is the battery protected by built in circuitry within the light?
    2. Does the light step down output as the battery voltage drops?

    • @LuxWad
      @LuxWad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the cell is protected. The light also steps down as the battery is depleted

  • @VladFredK
    @VladFredK ปีที่แล้ว

    it looks like you do know your flashlights so this should be easy question for you, Which flashlight with 18650 battery has illuminated switch button in off position like BLF Q8? And does any of them have illuminated switch button changing color when the battery is getting depleted in off position? It would be a great help.
    Thank you.

    • @LuxWad
      @LuxWad  ปีที่แล้ว

      What you're looking for is a light with an Aux LED in the switch and the "Anduril" firmware (like the current Q8 models).
      There are a few options, probably the best for your specifications would be the Sofirn SC31pro. There is also the Emisar D4V2, and the Fireflies PL09 Quad is a 21700 light that is very similarly sized - if you're willing to go 21700, there is also the Wurkkos TS21 and TS25.
      None of those will indicate battery level while the light is off, only when it's on. The only way to get that feature would be to custom order an Emisar D4V2 with the RGB switch instead of the single-color switch.

      @@LuxWad Thank you, I'll look into it.

  • @yogertdog

    You appreciate low output as default? My newest light has its 2000 lumen mode as default... it's just great... love being blinded every time I turn it on

    • @westsenkovec
      @westsenkovec 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on the use. You should do your research before buying.
      If you were a police officer, a hunter or someone using their flashlight for self-defense you wouldn't want your light to start in the moonlight mode. That's why most tactical flashlights have max output on power on.

    • @yogertdog
      @yogertdog 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@westsenkovec most decent UIs have memory so they can be adapted to any use and especially at the price point of $50 this should be standard for high output lights in 2021. My wowtac has memory at $30 so there no excuse.

    • @yogertdog
      @yogertdog 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also it's not a tactical flashlight at all

    • @westsenkovec
      @westsenkovec 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I know. A lot of people buy tactical lights because they look cool and then they complain that it's always maximum mode on turn on and that the second switch is strobe so they blind themselves.
      Which light are you talking about?
      I saw some unknown lights that got decent reviews online but the UI was bad or the modes were unreasonable so I never got them.

    • @yogertdog
      @yogertdog 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It was a NEXTOOL XPH50.2, just was on-sale for $30 instead of 50 so I got it, if a light isn't gonna have memory then atleast make the default medium.

    I’m sure this has been suggested already, but since you’re a part of the EDC community, you should do a vid on what all you carry. I’m sure you rotate lights like I do knives. I’m sure others would be interested in seeing it as well. Your review style somewhat reminds me of Nick Shabazz. He reviews both lights and pocket knives. I appreciate your reviews and hope to see more in the future.

    • @LuxWad
      @LuxWad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I definitely rotate a lot at this point, especially when reviewing lights, but there's always a couple go-tos that I take as backup when necessary. It would be fun to do a video on the lights I carry

    Would love to hear any ideas you have on any other single emitter anduril lights. Lights are mostly multi emitter now, which is fine but I've found it hard to find many single emitter lights that also have anduril programming. At least when it comes to lights that you don't have to wait three weeks to get.

      You have chosen three very well designed objects for your review. And since i own the wurkkos i know that you are one of those people
      that are able to make things look even better than they are.
      These are hq takes that make one foolishly desire items just for their appealing design. And you are quite short what i do like.
      When the interest is ignited one may still watch in depth reviews of about fifty six minutes.

    • @LuxWad
      @LuxWad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, I am a video producer, so making things look better than they are is basically my job, I mostly make these videos to get better at it. What do you like about the Wurkkos?

    • @jpgrumbach8562
      @jpgrumbach8562 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LuxWad , the looks and its quality. Only flaw was that i did scratch it when i put off the clip. I think it is sofirn that do not preinstall clips and therefore avoiding this.
      There is nothing bad with this torch.
      But i am wondering how comes that items can be recorded to look better than in reality. There might very well be an optimal lightning and that would be the make up for things.

    • @LuxWad
      @LuxWad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're pretty accurate with that actually, lighting is the key to making objects look good in videos. Most of the time put into shooting my video is spent getting the lighting right, it makes a huge difference. The comparison to makeup is perfect, as well-sculpted lighting can achieve some incredible things.
      If you're interested, two TH-cam channels I recommend are Epic Light Media and Aputure's channel. They both have great videos explaining the lighting setups they use to make things look a certain way.
