Honestly, I never understood why people get annoyed. If they could make a good relationship with a reseller than that guarantees inventory selling faster for probably just under what they we’re going to price it anyways

idk this one is kinda bad. offers less than half and then lies to the guy about how much they sell for. I think the guy reacted pretty ok since he was getting lied to and all
My mother-in-law resells with my husband and me, and I've seen her get physically pushed out of the way because she was holding a pair of shoes that person so "desperately" wanted 😒 I thought my husband was going to lose it on the lady who did that to her. I wouldn't have been surprised if he did. I don't know if she's a reseller, but that’s not okay to do to anyone.
It's crazy how I look forward everyday and check everyday to to see new videos of y'all.. sometimes when I be slacking on posting or thrifting after I watch y'all videos I get pumped and encouraged and get back on my grind.. 💙💯👍😎
"Yeah unfortunately I don't sell to have other people sell again". I don't understand this mentality, he's not losing anything by selling to a reseller as long as he sells at the price he wants. Who cares if the next person makes a little money on it. Just weird.
The reality of the situation is it just depends on how fast you want items to move. So if he prices it higher it'll just take longer to sell. Just depends on if they can afford/want to sit on it
There are two types of pawn shop owners...the ones who are happy to move out inventory, even if it means taking less money, and the ones who always refuse to negotiate on reasonable offers. I'll never understand the work ethic of some pawn shop owners.
@@asyouratty13 But do they get it (the higher price) from anyone? Are they just hoping someone comes in who has no idea what they're worth and assumes since it's at a pawn shop that it's cheaper than eBay? I have seen heavily used stuff priced above New prices on eBay in pawn shops before... A few times even above Retail! Does this let them inflate the "value" of the inventory for tax purposes or something?
Wine Glasses: Yes, some folks are real particular that wine be served in the "correct" glass, but my all time favorite glasses for wine are at our friend's Bed and Breakfast on the Italian Island of Ischia, in the Mediterranean. Our friend's kids grew up and went off to college at about the same time the local government decided to enact a Property Tax, which was unheard of on the little island. Ischia is the next island over from Capri. Shares the same climate, but it's where the working folks live, who serve the tourists over on Capri. So, to deal with her new tax problem, she decided to create a side hustle and use the extra bedrooms in the house to run a Bread and Breakfast. This was in the 1990s, long before Air B & Bs. Along with fresh orange juice, she kept 2 filled water pitchers of the local white table wine constantly chilling. The glasses on the shelf adjacent were mis-matched orange juice glasses that looked like they came from discount day on the clear glass aisle at the local thrift store. The idea was if they were all unique, you could use your selected glass all day long and minimize dirty glasses. The bar (fridge) was open 24/7 and most of us had the local table wine with breakfast (or sunrise). If you took the last glass full, from one of the pitchers, you refilled it from the large wicker basket wrapped bottle adjacent to the fridge. The basket was 2 handled and about the size of a small laundry basket, holding several gallons of wine. If you emptied the wicker basket/bottle, you went to the back yard (which is also where you picked fresh oranges, to have orange juice), remembering to stay out of the way of the geese. Once there, you called out to the neighbor who made the wine. You handed him the empty basket/bottle over the fence and he went and got you a full one. In return, he took what he needed in goose eggs, oranges and dinners. Our friend and her neighbor had been doing this for decades and it was one of the best wine experiences I've ever had. Of course, it helps when you start your day with a light white table wine and sip until after sunset. Our friends guests were very pleasant to be around, too.
1:53 A pawnshop owner is a reseller BY DEFINITION, so I don't understand his beef with reselling his used items to another reseller, but pawn shops, antique shops, etc. can attract some very odd people indeed and they just shoot themselves in the foot in terms of repeat business when they say off-putting comments like that.
@@lindajc123 Yes, exactly. Well too bad since that pawn shop owner needs a dose of reality as well as proper customer service skills if he wants his business to be successful. He's just plain nuts. There are too many weirdos in the pawn shop and antique business at times.

I could be wrong. But it’s possible with those Clemson Nike shoes being a size 15 that they were actually a run of player exclusives. The last few years Nike has been releasing retail versions as well so they might just be retail. But if PE, def a good find
"I sell to make money on it and be done with it" as if what the next person does has ANY effect on you. lol. Glad you included that in the video. Definitely some second hand embarrassment for him, but I am glad to see how you handled it. You have obviously faced that before, and I will remember that next time someone says something to me.
I laughed out loud when you talked about the different wine glasses then drink out of a plastic tumbler. Lol. You have inspired us to try and pay for our vacation with Crytpo. This math problem will be fun.
If you spray fabric sneakers with Spray and Wash and throw them in the washing machine they come out looking new, I’ve picked up white sneakers at the bins that were so stained sold for 75 dollars because they looked new after washing. I throw my dogs towels in with the sneakers so the towels rub against the sneakers, you will be surprised how clean they come out. It beats scrubbing them by hand.
the miracle hill you found the camera at is in Mauldin and only a few minutes from my home. It is one of the regular stores I shop at for items to flip
Thanks for another good video. If the shirt with the security tag is worth enough, you can buy a tag remover on ebay. I have a magnet one for ink tags and have no regrets buying it.
You guys are so sweet to support your friend...Alot of the resellers on TH-cam that buy at Goodwill never mention the color of the day discount...Is there a reason?
At Platos, you can put the items you want to purchase in a BIN at the register and bring items up and they will hold they behind the counter with your name on it. So you don't have to carry them around ;0)
Greenville/Anderson/Seneca area...lol! It's called "the Upstate". Or you may refer to it as "the shoulder" of SC as I refer to Columbia as "the armpit" of SC (due to it being the most humid part of SC...you know the most sweatiest/stickiness). ;)
I found a Columbia coat like yours, but in blue. I think the only reason the thrift store didn't mark it up to $20 is it had a huge white stain on the back. I scratched it a bit to check if it would come out and it did. It all came out in the wash on the way home.
Hey I heard a little trick with wine and you’ll never tell which one is expensive and which one is cheap, they put it in a blender and ran it on pulsate a couple times aerating it. It makes all wines I’ve tried pretty good.
$100 offer for a GoPro Hero 7 actually wasn’t that low of an offer. They usually go for $100-$200 on eBay. He could have easily done a counteroffer and got the item sold which is usually what pawn shops want to do, right? lol
Most pawn shops I tried to negotiate with have overpriced stuff and won’t even take solid offer. They must just want keep the items sitting around. And if you mention online price at local pawn stores they get so bent out shape most time lol. Best ones I been to are cash America, they will move product and give deals.
@@NMack-is3nb not that much of a low ball considering it was a completely different item than what was advertised. There's a right to be mad maybe if the item was correct.

Don’t know how much it is worth but Banff is pretty desired place by tourist from all over the World. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Love seeing people recognize you and tell you your the reason they got started. I bet that feels amazing. Awesome video 😊😀
happy late birthday to hayley! much love from Portugal keep the videos coming so i can keep my addiction watching it :P
I could be wrong. But it’s possible with those Clemson Nike shoes being a size 15 that they were actually a run of player exclusives. The last few years Nike has been releasing retail versions as well so they might just be retail. But if PE, def a good find
Did y’all know there were different glasses for different wines ( he says as he drinks wine from Tupperware!) love y’all so much!
"I sell to make money on it and be done with it" as if what the next person does has ANY effect on you. lol. Glad you included that in the video. Definitely some second hand embarrassment for him, but I am glad to see how you handled it. You have obviously faced that before, and I will remember that next time someone says something to me.
🤣...he didn't work there. What a sweetheart.
Did Mose have a hard time coming home from Grandma’s… Love you much Mose 🐕 ♥️♥️♥️
I laughed out loud when you talked about the different wine glasses then drink out of a plastic tumbler. Lol. You have inspired us to try and pay for our vacation with Crytpo. This math problem will be fun.
I don’t know what style of security tags Plato’s closet uses but try using a magnet to take off the one they forgot.
Great video. Thanks for taking us on your road trip with you. Enjoyed it. Love y'all.✌️♥️
Security tags are easy to remove, there’s lots of TH-cam videos on how to remove them, just get a powerful magnet and they fall right off.
everytime I eat or just relaxing in bed, I watch about 4-5 vids at once. AMAZING CONTENT !
Haley, loved your outfit for the play, especially the jeans. Hope you all had a great time.
Hayley, you looked beautiful in the blue sweater. 💙 so nice to see you dressed up
If you spray fabric sneakers with Spray and Wash and throw them in the washing machine they come out looking new, I’ve picked up white sneakers at the bins that were so stained sold for 75 dollars because they looked new after washing. I throw my dogs towels in with the sneakers so the towels rub against the sneakers, you will be surprised how clean they come out. It beats scrubbing them by hand.
Love your choice of stemware, plastic would give it very unique notes. LOL... another great video!
Wow that was a great offer!!!! Ya if he “could” get that much on eBay then he should!
the miracle hill you found the camera at is in Mauldin and only a few minutes from my home. It is one of the regular stores I shop at for items to flip
Always gives me a lift when I watch you guy's, always enjoyable. 👍
Nice snag on the sealed Black Diamond Bambi VHS! Black Diamond covers worth more.
Haleys face "is this our buggy"
haha
20:07 If you are ever stuck with a security tag again, there are plenty of tutorials online that show you how to remove them.
I've never really paid attention.
You guys are so fun, give the beautiful puppy a super hug for me ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I Love you put Hayley in the profile picture glad she is where she should be!!!!!!
At Platos, you can put the items you want to purchase in a BIN at the register and bring items up and they will hold they behind the counter with your name on it. So you don't have to carry them around ;0)
DOG IS THE BEST, LOVE YOUR GUYS CHANNEL!
Greenville/Anderson/Seneca area...lol! It's called "the Upstate". Or you may refer to it as "the shoulder" of SC as I refer to Columbia as "the armpit" of SC (due to it being the most humid part of SC...you know the most sweatiest/stickiness). ;)
Performer here ! Thespians rule ...I sing, dance, act, stage manage, do production/set/props and assistant direct !
Woot for us ! Lol
wow seasled and black diamond - not sure how all of that disney vhs clamshell thing works but you will most likely find a great buyer for it :)
A duffel bag?... that’s nothing. My wife will pack a suitcase the size of a dresser for a 2 night trip 😂
Great video! Love it :)
I found a Columbia coat like yours, but in blue. I think the only reason the thrift store didn't mark it up to $20 is it had a huge white stain on the back. I scratched it a bit to check if it would come out and it did. It all came out in the wash on the way home.
At home . . . Don't think I have a washing machine in my car. Just a little distracted.
@@sharona3048 😂 I was trying to understand what you meant by on the way home.
@6:30 "You work here?" "NO!".. lol!
Hey I heard a little trick with wine and you’ll never tell which one is expensive and which one is cheap, they put it in a blender and ran it on pulsate a couple times aerating it. It makes all wines I’ve tried pretty good.
ty love the vids its great to see Haley doing so good on the vids ty ty ty yall love yall the most great
I love your videos! Also, they are so much better with You two as a couple!
$100 offer for a GoPro Hero 7 actually wasn’t that low of an offer. They usually go for $100-$200 on eBay. He could have easily done a counteroffer and got the item sold which is usually what pawn shops want to do, right? lol
@@NMack-is3nb but he also had it labeled as a newer model when it wasn’t.
I wonder if the guy wasn’t a little miffed because He called him out on trying to sell it as a newer model than it was.
You can buy it new on Walmart for $207. He's definitely asking too much.
