- Little bull, Phabeni is thankfully doing better this week and has been stable for a few days now. After staying at the orphanage for several days due to low energy, Phabeni then started joining the herd in the bush for a few hours in the morning. We will keep his walks to only a couple of hours each day, while we wait for him to gain more weight. The females in the herd are especially happy to have him with them again.

I am so glad to see Baby Phabeni out with the herd again. I have been waiting for any update about him everyday. I truly hope and pray that his health stability is for good, and he will not have any more health concerns. And I just have to say, Timisa and Khanyisa have the makings of great and doting allomothers. They really took lessons from big sister Kumbura, matriarch Tokwe, and all the other mamas of the herd. It's just so heartwarming to see that even the youngest females in herd have love and maternal instincts embedded in their dna. Thank you so much, Adine and HERD. Our beloved Khanyisa is so affectionate with her baby brother. It warms my heart to see this. Setombe and Klaserie were soooo happy and all the females I'm sure were delighted to spend these morning hours with their new baby! Your idea of letting him spend 3 hours in the morning is a good one!

What a happiness to see my little mosquito !! with the herd !!!! mama and the girls 💕🐘💕 but we can see he walks slowly and search shade under mama belly ! sun is very bad wth the antibiotics like for humans !! we can note he has to take kgs and strength !! 👼 he is courageous with this piece of bone broken in his back !!!Mama !!-Klaserie !!
