I lived in Withernea when at college in Hull (1976 - 78). It was a miserable dump back then - stuck in a 1958 timewarp. For example, a local shop sold plastic models of muppets and the Miss Piggy one was labelled Miss Piggy Lee, while a soft toy dinosaur was marked, 'Purple People Eater.'

as nice as withernsea looks it is absolutely miserable

Alot of holiday resorts are not great when you scratch the surface. I live near Blackpool and that can be terrifying in places.

I worked there temporarily 12 years ago and loved it the people there are brilliant and lovely but i certainly couldn't live there
