I had this box of 3 records bought in Marseille, but I gave it away 30 years ago, so I'm delighted to be able to listen to this again. IIRC, Les Musiciens de Provence are a folk band, rather than mediaeval or renaissance.
I once gave away my 1980s PhD on atomic physics I'd written as a postgrad student to an old guy dressed in strange long black robes who said he needed it for his sorceries and 'travels in the chronous', whatever he meant by that. Absolute nutter, but what did I care, i'd got my doctorate then. . Last year I cleared out my grandad's attic, he was an early nuclear physicist (that's why I wanted to study it) who actually knew Robert Oppenheimer. Apparently Oppenheimer's grandad inspired his grandson to study nuclear physics because of an unhsually-bound book he bought in Dresden in 1875, at a funny little backstreet bookshop where this really old old guy in a long black robe sold all sorts of strange books and manuscripts.
Once an intrepid time traveller from 2035 set his machine for 1,000 years hence, yearning for a time when war and violence would surely have ceased, and advanced civilisation would have eliminated all disease and famine and poverty. But when he emerged, it was to a world of small warring statelets and beggars on every street corner in towns full of hovels where the wealthy lived in huge gated castles with private armies of knights to protect them. Vicious winters and wild animals carried off many each year whom the Plague had spared, whilst the wealthy mainly died in fighting during the summer months. He had evidently set his machine for MINUS one thousand years, and now there was no going back for angry superstitious peasants had destroyed his machine. He found shelter in a kind maiden’s house, who said, beware, for such people still fear the return of the War of the Magic Suns from maybe 900 years ago, perhaps a little more, when men flew in wondrous tubes of iron as high as the eagles, even upon flaming broomsticks of fire called ‘rockettes’ to the Moon itself, and possessed devilrous chariots that, without horse or oxen, could travel across moor and mountain faster than a frightened mare. Siuch chariots ran said she upon black essence of Erthe, that ran dry when men abuseth the land and she gave her essenbce no more, and they fought with fearsome catapults that could destroy a city faster than a hundred armies, that burneth hotter than a thousand thousand fires. And then our traveller knew he had NOT mis-set his machine after all.
Saudações do Brasil 🇧🇷.
The one that begins around 02:00 is called "The Processionary of King William III of South Anglo-Saxonie" Played at his crornation of 25 April 2044, 2 years after the War of The Magic Suns, as his carriage train passes majestically through the radioactive wastelands of what was his grandmother's capital city"
No one should be anothers slave for in end time we shall be judged and our decadence be our downfall but sun will still rise and waters flow beckoning that lost and remembered by our Lord God. To worship a man is to seek disappointment and unhappiness but for the new lamb skip to the dog and preserve our mother and father for their sacrifice was greater. To the bird that takes flight and calls to mate shall all be peace throughout transition and fall of the evening. The rising of the sun and hope she will return with relentless tide and truth. We are the meek bound to travel East and honour our debt for freedom is without and with loss a new beginning. To Christ I give my life for such saturation will repay and no doubt will cast its shadow. And through the pain of separation we traverse a new world and give to those without for drug and spirit shall be abandoned and grave responsibility to the animals we surely owe. Time shall travel with us and be our only companion for testament of love and of devotion be the basis a our religion to marry humility with compassion and bring a new life where disorder pervades our scattering before the new moon and we can sleep our cares till rise.

Isin't that just some Jethro Tull..?
La musica del passato era molto meglio dell'attuale. Molto più rispettosa dell'uomo e dei ritmi della natura...nettare per le orecchie
The music in 1:47 , is'nt it "Zellus Zelatus Suum"?
Imagine courting all the wenches to this music. 🔥🔥🔥
And the wenches would have been more jealous of your long gown than you were of theirs.
Jejeje bellas muchachas de Provence.
