Im a huge Traveller fan and found your books while perusing Lulu, bought them up then looked to see if there was TH-cam content on them. Happy to see the author himself giving us a look along side a personal narrative as to why the content was created.
As long time corpo, I think you hit the corporations well. I think I mentioned in my review that I liked how you made them without making them over the top parodies as many games do. It's interesting to hear creators' inspiration stories.
Really nice hearing about how the game started. I’m a big fan of HOSTILE and Zozer Games in general, especially your commitment to producing quality books.
Thank you to show the new setting bok for Hostile. I have the first edition (print) and its SOLO expansion (print). I have always loved what's inside. I wanted to play solo at that time but I didn't a clue on the "How to...". Now that I have more solo "backgrounds", I think that I'm ready to go into the Hostile world, solo, playing various roles. I hope that we will see your SOLO new edition rulebook, and why not, solo plays too!!
Great stuff Paul! Thanks for the walk through of the Setting book. I just got my copies off of LULU (along with Modern War), and I've really enjoyed the setting. I'm really starting to appreciate the 2d6 system and how it so easily sits in the background and allows GMs to run a fun game. Please keep up the good work!
I cut my teeth on Metamorphosis Alpha, Aftermath, and a little known ship game called Starfleet Battles. Traveler was a close second that cobbled and reinforced the material of good old fashioned Hard Sci-Fi.
Appreciate all the work you put into this. I have to admit, I feel lost on how to run this! Though, I suppose it’s not that dissimilar from being a DM in dungeons and dragons, the same concepts still apply. Would love to see you play through of a level one adventure in this setting.
I just really can't decide if I wanna go with the Alien RPG or this one... this one just seems so much more broad, while alien seems like a one-trick pony but it has alle the alien stuff...

Excellent content, always nice to get the author/designer's take on thier games. Love Hostile.

Your own review of Hostile was comprehensive and very thorough, and I was thrilled to find out that it was favourable...
From what we know about exoplanets so far, the universe is indeed extremely hostile.
That is true. Certainly not like Star Trek TNG!

I appreciate that. I do obsess about what the Hostile books look like!
Great stuff. Such a parallel development to my own experience and world building. Paul has just knocked it out of the park!

Love HOSTILE. Ran several games now, great setting.
I need a read through of the rules, explaining why they were written like they are - especially the area fire rules ...
This sounds literally brilliant. It's what the new 2300AD should have been. Hopefully Orc's Nest has it.
Awesome encapsulation of the game and system. Looking forward to buying this!
Thanks Thomas.

Thanks Atropia.

cool
I cannot find it at Amazon or Barnes and noble.
How do you fit this with the current rendition of Traveller, Alien and Mothership RPGs?
The algo brought me here, I'm very curious about this and the Solo game.
