Had issues with LG C4, pressing the home and back button at the same time worked. However I didn’t know it was de-registering bc the lights never blinked nor did I get a prompt on the tv! Haha. Kept doing it over and over then I decided to press the middle scroll button and it all the sudden said “successfully registered”. Just FYI for anyone that was struggling and didn’t have an indication that remote de-registered. Thanks for this video! Cheers.

for me the poiner was not appearing when shaking the remote, but the cursor and other buttons worked fine. Your solution of de-registering and registering the remote back again worked out for me . Thanks !
Hello!!Just came the remote.i've re registered it with the tv and.the only buttons that don't work with my CX are Disney,Rakutten buttons .. should i do anything else or there's no way to function those 2 buttons?
If you've tried everything to get your pointer back, and you're ready to throw the remote through the window, do the following: Go to SETTINGS (gear shaped button on the remote). Select GENERAL. Select ACCESSIBILITY. Turn AUDIO GUIDANCE Off. You're welcome.
That worked perfectly for me. Thank you!! In-laws were house sitting, we came back to hear the audio guidance on, but the pointer / mouse wouldn’t show on the tv. As soon as I turned the audio guidance off, the pointer reappeared. Just like magic. 🙂

Registering the controller worked for only 2 mins, then I stopped using the controller for 30 seconds and the pointer didn't worked again.. I've also changed the batteries to make sure..

The “OK” button on my magic remote stoped working., but the pointer was still working. The only thing that was not working was the ok button so I could not select anything. So I de-registered my remote by holding the home and back buttons until the power button flashed three times. However it flashed more than three time and now the pointer no long appears. End result OK butting and pointer not working and can’t even complete de-register the magic remote.
I discovered by turning off quick start+ my pointer returned after trying so many other things. I think it kept saving the same settings by not turning completely off and staying in standby mode. It seemed to reset the tv, or perhaps just dumb luck. 😂 Maybe it will work for someone else!!
Wish re-registering it worked for me like it did for everyone else. De-registered it. The remote still worked but I kept seeing "Registration failed" and the sensor + wheel scroll still do not work. Now home + back don't even work. Had to hard factory reset and now my app can't even connect to my TV anymore, but the remote works fully.
The pointer uses Bluetooth while the buttons mostly use Infrared. Bluetooth needs more power so you would expect that to fail first when the batteries are running low.
