Saw this comment in chat, "umbra was chosen to become a warframe because he was a great warrior, but Jade? Who is she?", and I think they might have forgotten an important part of the Sacrifice. He wasn't chosen because he was a good warrior, he was infected to punish him and silence him for almost uncovering Ballas' betrayal. Jade and Sorren were likewise punished for violating oaths/traditions.
Honestly, I didn't expect this quest to bring any significant story changes with it beyond explaining who Stalker is. This was unlike anything I could've imagined and genuinely makes me wonder what the hell is going to happen next. I know 1999 is going to be a separate thing, but the Stalker having a hybrid child is too massive to not be developed further. Also gotta give DE props for never once showing Jade from the front when her dress is unfolded.
I think Warframes had a time period where none of them were controlled by Tenno. Then when they found out Tenno could use transference most warframes became controlled by Tenno but some like kullervo, Dante, and jade (and maybe stalker he might be a warframe) were sane enough to not need a Tenno.
Yeah that seems to be the case. I guess it means that the Low Guardians were those who were made into Warframes but didn't need a Tenno? Still kinda unclear. Lots of room for speculation from this update, for better or worse.
@@StallordD I'm thinking maybe Stalker's Framiness was after Jade's and, more specifically, after the Tenno skewered all the Orokin. Dude was so pissed about his boss' deaths that he made himself a frame in order to get power for his revenge. The quest doesn't really say it specifically, but I'm guessing why he has such a hate boner for the Tenno isn't because he loved the Orokin (if that was the case, why would he if they were the ones that killed his lover?) - just that Jade was one of the lords he believes the Tenno murdered along with his kid. It explains why her loving him was so dangerous - she was basically royalty, he was just the grunt assigned to guard her. Just before the empire fell, though, Ballas or some other Orokin schmuck found out and made her into a frame while pregnant, something he never found out about before it all fell apart (or maybe forgot after framing himself, only remembering the hate and not the true reason) so he blames the Tenno and hunts us for her death, not recognizing or understanding why it is Jade save him out of all the other Orokin.
@TheSpinkels Alternatively, both Stalker and Jade got framed together as punishment, and Stalker's obsession with loving the Orokin, hating the Tenno, and screwed up memory are the result of some Umbra style Mind altering that went along with the change (though if that's true, how did the Orokin have such a tough time controlling the frames?) and pretty much everything Stalker has been doing has been for a lie. Because as I've heard Jade is the so called Jade light - something the Orokin were using for execution for who knows how long. Even if he didn't know it was Jade, surely he could piece it together that the Golden bois had killed her somehow if he never saw her again. So again why all the devotion? It's real screwy.
It would make sense for Jade to be in control of herself, however Umbra's story also shows the Tenno have a tendency to be sympathetic to the plights of their warframes and the people they used to be. So it could go either way.
Stalker's talking about Legams finding out, it does seem like Jade was somewhat of a...higher-birth than Sorren(Stalker), they had a forbidden relationship and was eventually found out, they punished Jade and made her into a warframe WHILE she was pregnant, and maybe Stalker as well...the baby was also basically warframe-ized as well while in her womb, it's pretty haunting to think about but well...that's the Orokin for you.
I played the quest before watching this, and the dodging of the Bioplasm joke and using the term "babyproofed" when seeing Stalker's regen had me cackling
* spoilers till min 35:00 * - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I love how we basically transferred into a 'woman' so we could give birth, and had a minigame for it. I don't think there are many games where you press space to push out a baby.
I think for the player input, they could have gone with having a few medical machines scattered about the room the stalker/player had to 'hack' in a sort of panic to keep her alive that got harder to keep up, then suddenly switch over to the beat thing as a sort of 'giving up' and letting the chips fall where they will. Instead of quicktime labor.
Kinda curious about the Legams. It's an inflectionary form of the Latin legō, which means to choose. So the Legams... are people who choose? Choose what?
@StallordD Ah, like "Leges." Gotcha! Gotta say, I was all around quite pleased with this quest, even if I *am* left with more questions than answers. I can't wait to learn more about lil' Sirius. Maybe this is the beginning of Stalker's redemption arc in preparation for whatever the Indifference has cooking?
Far as i can tell, its similar to attack on titan. The "warframe-ification" destroys the person's mind but by holding onto strong memories, they can retain their self-control. Umbra had the memory of his son burned into him. Jade: her love of Sorren. Gyre existing before the jump accident. So yeah, there are some exceptions to the tenno-warframe thing. Either though Orokin interference or the person's mental state/desires.
Good chance she might've been an Archimedian. Since she has "Jade light" powers. And getting turned into a Warframe might've been her punishment for the taboo of getting knocked up by Sorren.
@@Allday524 Sooooo the baby Jade is created by draining her own life? using an ancient device too. Part of her will stay with stalker, other part stay in their hideout and haunt that place-tingling with the machines as I interpret what Hunhow said

How Jade warframe can give birth is simple explanation. When Jade was a human, she was already pregnant before being infected to become a warframe.

a whole ass warframe baby
more terrible writing
