The prologue song is, to me, the most beautiful song of the story. It brings you into the story and to this fantasy world. Stunning!

Song used to hit me hard as a kid, as an adult musician it gets me in the feels everytime. Definitely has a hopeless melancholy feel to it.

as someone who’s recently played the enchantress in my school play, this helps me re-enact what i was doing two weeks ago at this time
Gaining the claws when the Beast changed in the story was a nice touch.
That sort of little detail was why I subscribed to him so long ago.
Love the addition of the claws… kinda caught me off guard!
I truly feel this is one of the most beautiful pieces ever written for piano
One of the best covers on youtube. A lot of the others play it too heavy handed but you did very well!
It is true I agree with you the other musicians play it too heavily but she is really perfect it is played in a delicate way as she does it is nickel and this melody and really magnificent the beauty and the beast is one of the Disney cartoons which enormously marked my childhood and that arrived very often this melody troter me in the spirit and as by chance I put myself to frondoner and I fell of sue on TH-cam the coincidence...
I've always wanted to know how this prologue was played because it's one of my favorite soundtrack pieces and now that I see it I love it even more

The theme tune that captured my heart when I was 11.. the movie came out in 1992 when I was 10 but I'm unsure if I watched it that year at the cinema. All I know is that by 1993/4 it was on TV at long last and I taped it off the TV onto VHS...designed my own sticker warning family members DO NOT TAPE OVER! I was obsessed with this new Disney princess when she sang ' I want adventure in the great wide somewhere' and I loved the fact that underneath the anger and growls, Belle brought out the softer Beast. Every single song is etched in my heart and this tune just hits that string... 42 now..where did the time go ❤❤❤❤❤

Wow I love this so much...
One upon a time, in a far away land, a young Prince lived in a shining castle. Although he had everything his heart desired, the Prince was spoiled, selfish and unkind.
But then, one winter’s night, an old beggar woman came to the castle and offered him a single rose in return for shelter from the bitter cold.
Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the Prince sneered at the gift and turned the old woman away. But she warned him not to be deceived by appearances for beauty is found within.
And when he dismissed her again, the old woman’s ugliness melted away to reveal a beautiful Enchantress.
The Prince tried to apologize but it was too late for she had seen there was no love in his heart. And as punishment, she transformed him into a hideous Beast and cast a powerful spell on the castle and all who lived there.
Ashamed of his monstrous form, the Beast concealed himself inside his castle with a magic mirror as his only window to the outside world.
The rose she had offered was truly an enchanted rose which would bloom until his 21st year.
If he could learn to love another and earn their love in return by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken. If not, he would be doomed to remain a Beast for all time.
As the years passed, he fell into despair and lost all hope.
For who could ever learn to love a Beast?
