Fantastic job on the video demo! Someone asked if anyone knew of any drum machine that was a good as the products in the 1970s and 1980s, clarifying "I mean for purity and richness of sound".
My reply: Purity and richness of sound is attainable only with Concatenative Synthesis, target-based sound mosaicing, hybrid electroacoustic computer-aided composition systems, modal synthesis, procedural audio templates, sound texture modeling, motion-driven sound synthesis, wavelet tree learning, granular synthesis, and Liquid Object Format Modules.

Why is IRCAM developing tools for commercial software? Wouldn't it be possible to develop for open source alternatives such as Pure Data ?
