Guess I am unsure why you have mixed feelings about the new format of trail hero. The guided trail rides were from 7a-2p and then the vendor show opens at 3p. So everyday we left sand hollow around 3-4p. I was there for 3 straight days doing trails in the morning and one night run with baja designs. I wouldn't have even known there was concerts there unless I had seen the adverts for the music festival. My house is 10min away from sand hollow in Washington fields. I was able to go on rides with Warn, Terraflex, Synergy, Baja Designs, Pro 4x4, and best offroad. Learned from expert level wheelers and make lots of new friends. Trails we did were Ledges, Splip lock gulch, Warns/Waynes World, and Dead Broke. That was plenty of wheeling for one weekend for us!
Sounds like you did it right. It didn’t help for my sake that I wasn’t able to get down there until Friday morning. And it was definitely my choice to help out most of Friday with the rock crawling competition. It very well could have been my issue with how it was planned. We’re all of those rides with all of those vendor invites from the vendor? I didn’t have that aspect. I do think that if it were planned out better on my end it could have been better. I should’ve come with yall haha
@@Vikingoff-Road Ledges on the day was sponsored by Synergy, so they were on that trail ride with us. splilock gulch was sponsored by baja designs so they had their camera guys out there. I was infront of one of their brand ambassadors Warns world I happened to be on the trail they did their Warn media shoot, so it made the trail about an hour longer, but i was interviewed with my wife. So that will be a fun video when that releases. Dead Broke was sponsored by Best Offroad so their whole team was out there for that run. They fed us lunch on the trail and gave us a shirt. Dave Varga was there on all the rides I did he has done work on my TJ, but I was out there in my gladiator. I have a good friend that worked for Terraflex, so I got to be trail guided by their squad. It was a riot.
@leecaldwell1029 that does sound like it was a good time. And maybe I need to become a little more friendly with some of the vendors and make better plans about getting on the trails. I may need to pay closer attention to social media when I am out there or the schedule to see when a lot of these things happen too. Very happy you had a great time it sounds like it was fun
@@Vikingoff-Road very inclusive crowd at trail hero. lots of extra runs with people who wanted to just wheel. the concert aspect of trail hero was nearly unnoticed by us except on the night run it was going on while we headed out. which was honestly kind of cool
@leecaldwell1029 sounds like I missed out on some good wheeling. I didn’t go with a big group and our plans somewhat fell apart a lil bit with people getting sick and tickets
🤔"A big Party" wasn't my experience at all. As a 1st timer, I thought the event was run very well. The guided runs happened at 9a.m. Plenty of choices with great guides. Usually finished by 1pm. ate Lunch, attended the vendor show. Picked up a few cool items. The music didn't even start until late, 7pm. Nice option to have at night...chillingnto some good music. Or go night wheeling with new found friends . I didn't run into any problem people. Rather nice folks with similar interest. There were a couple of days where after the runs I would just go back to hotel and swim in the pool(very hot this year) So, I saw zero party in those days.
That’s awesome!! I am glad you had a great time for your first time. Yeah as I am realizing. It seems I might planned a little poorly and had some circumstances I couldn’t change with people leaving and having other plans fall through. It is great you had a good time!!
