Nice, you got some real classics there. That Mörk Gryning rules, definitely underrated 🤘
Absolutely agree on that Mork Grying, I just picked up the sophomore album, a bit more thrashy but still killer.
Awesome grabs. Ophthalamia is a favorite. They were so unique I struggle to even describe their music. Cheers Steve!
You will be proud, my next video has a band you have convinced me to look into. haha!
Legion was the Vocalist of Ophthalamia for awhile.
His vocals are killer, I need more of the music. That album is damn good.
Excellent black metal update Steve! Good to see Naglfar, Darkthrone, Dark Funeral and Marduk.
Thanks Tony! Been having a day listening to these.
Hi Steve! Heaven Shall Burn When We Are Gathered is one of the best, if not the best Marduk album. I love the Legion era, the timbre of his voice blends perfectly with the music, which is absolutely fantastic. How lucky you were to find this magnificent Darkthrone compilation at such a low price, that's freakin' awesome man! And this first Dark Funeral album is a real masterpiece, another must-have. Like you, I first went through all the other genres before taking a closer interest in the second wave of Black Metal, and I'm far from regretting it, this style has so much to offer.
Finally, if I had to suggest a band for you to discover, I'd go for Imperium Dekadenz, a German atmospheric Black Metal band formed in 2004. I particularly like their albums Dis Manibus from 2016 and When We Are Forgotten from 2019.
Cheers dude! 😊🤘🤘🤘
Thank you! I will look them up. Thr 2nd wave is outstanding. I think for me is that big bands overshadowed the true musicians on the genre and I happy to be picking up the side of the genre. Looking for to checking out the band you mentioned. Thanks!!
Great Black Metal Update Steve!
Can't go wrong with Dark Funeral, Dark Fortress, Naglfar or Marduk!
My favorite Marduk Album will always be Panzer Division!
That Album kick's fucking Ass in under 30 Minutes!!
💀🤘💀🤘💀🤘
I dig Panzer Division, I have listened to that one online and it destroys. Need to pick up more of their stuff and that one is on the top of my list.
I only got into Black Metal recently but it has to be a certain type more atmospheric. Immortal I've been listening to for 10 years because they always reminded me of early Bathory. But I've been getting into other bands too and now I've got more to check out thanks to this video Steve! Great stuff!
Awesome George! I would highly suggest checking that Naglfar or Mork Grying, I think you will like those.
It's awesome to see you loving these picks! For your next homework assignment, you should look for Sorhin's Apokalypsen's Angel.
Looking it up soon, this video has created a list of suggestions! thank Ben.
Yes!
Some really cool additions to the collection Steve. Got Naglfar's debut on Wrong Again Records shortly after its release in 1995. Eventually had to get the reissue as had played the original to death. Huge thumbs up for Unanimated too. Really can't go wrong with their debut or sophomore. Those into Dawn or Vinterland could do a lot worse. Another album well worth checking out is Noctes Pandemonic Requiem which is completely amazing and I never hear anyone talk about it. On the legendary No Fashion Records label so that alone should be enough of a recommendation. Happy listening. \m/
I will check out that Noctres Pandemonic Requiem. I think been showed their Digipac on his last video. It is the No Fashion video he did. That Naglfar is amazing, I bet I wear my copy out as well. Love this music and I need more 😂
Awesome black metal collection video just got done listening to Immortal Suffering Images Of Horror cd
Hell yea Brandon! Just woke up and plan to watch your video soon.
Awesome Black Metal update Steve! Love Marduk they're awesome, this album you're playing is one i haven't listened to yet so that's cool! I don't know that Darkthrone album, they've done a lot of albums though! The debut Nifelheim is great. I've heard of Dark Fortress, Mork Gryning, Unanimated, Obtained Enslavement and Naglfar but never listened to them. That Dark Funeral album is awesome, must pick that one up myself! Great stuff man 😊🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thanks Josh! I would start with Mork Grying, the guitar play and that is absolute magic.
@stevesekora You're welcome mate! Ahh ok, nice one cheers man! I've been meaning to check out Mork Gryning but never have. I must do if the guitar work is good, cheers 😁🤘🏻
You can´t go wrong with any of the first three Naglfar albums, all killer. I got to know their bass player / now vocalist Christoffer in 2003 and every time we meet there´s a lot of weed involved, hahaha...
I applied for the singer job in Dark Fortress in the early 2000s, I obviously didn´t get it because they got one of their close old friends. Fair enough... Fun fact: Dark Fortress used to cover Unanimated´s "Eye of the Greyhound" live back in the day...
I am ordering those other Naglfar albums very soon. Absolute killer stuff. Dark Fortress was a bit of a surprise blind buy that just happens to fit the music taste I am on. The album is killer the more I listen to it. That would have been awesome if you got the job. "Eye of the Greyhound is my favorite track on that Unanimated record.
My next collection Update will be up tomorrow and it also has a few more BM bangers that I can't get enough of. Cheers my friend!
Sick black metal update here Steve mate! Marduk are just the real deal man! First saw them in 93 in some shitty pub in London about 20 people there! Opus nocturne is my favourite album by them. Naglfar are incredible I picked up the album vittra as a blind buy when they released it in 95. Love your selection Steve man 😉🤘🏻🍺 some peaches here mate dark funeral vobiscum satanas is my favourite
Thank you Dylan! That Marduk absolutely destroys I am picking up more of their stuff. The next video will have some sick BM releases as well but that one will have more Death Metal as well. Thank you for watching this haha!
@@stevesekora always bro I’ve stopped making videos man. I can’t stand this platform. But I will keep watching and commenting bro. Until I’m banned or in prison! Freedom of speech is gone here in the uk
I like watching MotleyCrueforever1 too. He hasn't uploaded a new video in a long time
I think he mainly does monthly collection updates the last time I watched him. Love his earlier videos.
Legion Era Marduk Is great, Mortuus Is also great, It's just a shame Legion left after World Funeral.
I agree, Legion's vocals are some of the best I have heard. Planning on picking up World Funeral and Panzer Division next.
Hey Steve hope you're well mate! $20 for the Darkthrone boxset is beyond a steal, I have a fair bit of Darkthrone but next to nothing from 2000 onwards. I've been on the fence on picking up the Nifelhiem reissues I'm missing as the other issues are hard and expensive to get.
I got that Mork Gryning album last year I think, fantastic album well worth getting the debut too.
I haven't got around to Ophthalamia but I've been holding out for original presses but the reissues will probably be the way for me to go. Naglfar are one of favourites they've got a great discography!
Proper classics start to finish with this lot my friend 🍻🤘🏻
Thank you Simon. Doing well here, been working a lot but should be slowing down soon. Hope your doing well as well. Going to pick up more Naglfar. Really like their stuff a lot. I have some more bangers lined up for my next video. So stoked to show those.
@@stevesekora I'm good thanks, look forward to seeing what other bangers you've picked up mate 🤘🏻
Tusen år har gått is Swedish, but you nailed the translation! Mörk Gryning means Dark Dawn. And speaking of Dawn,, have you checked them out?
Dawn rules, I have their Slaughtersun and the EP, they nail that Infernal Majesty cover on the EP. I still need their Debut.
I’m still trying to wrap my head around some of it (black metal) and it’s definitely growing on me. I’m not really into the heavy keyboard and folkie stuff tho…
Cool stuff
Took me a bit to get into BM, but man, I am really digging it more and more as of late.
First two dissection albums Is all you need Anthony mate 😉
@@HM2dylanpowell Yeah, and they are expensive 😂
@@Metalminersmusic get the CDs mate 😉
