My best piece of metal memorabilia is promotional poster for a Metallica concert that never happened. It's for the show they were driving to when Cliff Burton was killed. I also have a bootleg on vinyl of Cliff's final show.
I have a metric ton of stuff going back to the ‘80’s. Try to keep it all in good shape, but time can be cruel. Pictures, autographs, signed albums, name it. All metal too. 🤘😜 Love the channel.
I've been a diehard metalhead since the early 80's and I quit drinking 2 years ago. Nov 2, to be exact. There's a lot of us, a bit older perhaps with hard-earned mileage and wisdom.
I'm from Oakland. Left California in 2013. The 80s through the early 00s was a great time to be in the bay for metal. I could tell you a million great stories. I'm a lot older than you and things were really different back then compared to now. We went back to SF during covid to get some legal documents at 400 Macallister. Things had changed a lot. I lived behind Amoeba on Shrader street and saw countless bands play there. Slims, Annie's, the garden, Maritime, Warfield I saw Motorhead. Makh from Apiary and Early Graves was one of my best homies. Lots of history there bro
I guess I'm the odd man out then, then again a lot of my CDs are in a holder they don't even have cases and then there's the, Tower of power, which is an entire rack of compilation albums with titles like a decade of heavy metal, rock thunder, metal mayhem, Monsters of Rock live, and a slave to the metal.
JD from Black Label Society gave me a long island iced tea after a gig in Sacramento and filled the red solo cup with a few dozen picks I fought for at shows, wrist bands, tickets, etc. Unfortunately it "disappeared" during a move. Still makes me upset😞
That's a lot of sweet loot. Good stuff. I only have a few festival shirts, mostly because I find them kind of boring, and would rather buy shirts from the bands I enjoyed the most, but I've kept every wristband and booklet I've gotten. Love to look through those and recall the good times. Sadly, many festivals, at least here in Norway, don't have booklets anymore. Apps just aren't the same.
My favorite thing I have is water taken from Lake Bodom, from the murder site, which, purely by fucking coincidence, was aquired on the anniversary of the murders. I also poured some of that very water on Alexis grave. RIP.
Great collection! I don't have shit except hazy/vivid memories from incredible shows. A few ticket stubs somewhere. And a cassette tape of Death Row by Accept, bought in 94, that has been played through dozens of stereos and car decks and Walkmans and been underwater twice in Lahaina, for several seconds each time(and not in it's case at the time, just slipped out of my hands) and been unspooled/respooled a few times and it still plays fine. It will not die! Oh and I have about 50 metal shirts but no tour-bought ones. I lost those about 20 years ago.
I've kept most of my ticket stubs from over the years. My 2 favorite are Pantera in Hollywood in 1991 before I knew who they were and instantly became a fan. And then Bodycount in Redondo Beach in what I would assume was one of their first shows.
I probably should be on hoarders at this point with the amount of band shirts alone that i have. Jealous you actually saw that uta dragonforce tour in 2020. I was literally headed out the door for the minneapolis date when it was canceled.
It’s not exactly metal but my stepmom and I went and saw Def Leppard,Poison and Tesla in 2017 in Nashville and the next day on the way back to Memphis I saw that REO Speedwagon was going to play at the Horseshoe Casino in Tunica Mississippi so we stopped by the house to get changed and went to see REO Speedwagon and I’ve seen them twice now and have 3 guitar picks from them and in 2018 I got see Def Leppard again and got to meet them they were with Journey,I got a guitar pick from Phil Collen the guitarist from Def Leppard,3 from REO Speedwagon 1 from Neil Shawn from Journey 1 from Twin Soul which is a Memphis cover band and 1 from Eyeshine there a band that mainly did conventions and the lead singer is Jonny Yong Bosch a voice actor.
Unfortunately I never kept my concert tickets (I wonder what somebody would pay for a ticket from the last show of Nirvana in Munich [I know it was not metal, but heavy guitars, so crucify me])😪
I remember getting slapped in the face by a chick at a show over a pic that got thrown in the crowd and I wasn't even going for the pic was going for my glasses that got knocked off my face people crazy I see a pic get thrown or anything thing else from the band I go the other way for sure

3:57 A top-tier metalhead that doesn't drink, must be a first for me meeting one like that! Good for you dude, rock on \M/

I like that painting one dog goes this way, the other dog goes that way - and this guy's saying "whaddya want from me?" It’s art dammit.
He's got a nice head of white hair...
He kinda looks like somebody we know.
Bing! With the hair, it's him!
Awesome collection. I feel like fans are most likely to collect stuff like this than actual music.

For some reason I thought there'd be a little bit more CDs but great video anyway. Look at your view count, you made it.
i’m not even really a metalhead but I fucking love this guy
Behold! My stuff😂
YES! I was just about to start drawing, and I was looking for a good background video, and you posted! Thanks for the awesome content, dude!
