Cottage, academia (a little bit of boho) and industrial are my personal favourites. I like to blend styles together.
HELP I WANT COTTAGE CORE, DARK ACADEMIA, GRUNGE AND VINTAGE AT THE SAME TIME BUT I HAVE PINK WALLS AND STRICT PARENTS THAT WON'T LET ME PAINT MY WALLS OR EVEN HANG POSTERS 💀💀
You could try and change up some furniture and the smaller decorations that aren’t needed to be hung up. If they don’t want to paint the walls due to cost and property value, ask them if you could have a wallpaper to put on top. :) If it’s an issue with them not wanting to spend the money, try and put aside some dollars from allowance if you receive any, or save up money from whatever side jobs you’re able to take on.

My room has like a bohemian x minimalistic aesthetic, I wanted the white to be the main color in the room but I added some elements to create texture such as a beige crinkle-knit fabric blanket on the bed with a beige linen pillow and two smaller white pillows and a faux sheepskin rug. I already have plants in my room so they fit really well with the aesthetic and mixing taller plants and the smaller ones to create a height difference. I have a couple of pictures in frames on the wall and the desk, wardrove and shelves are made of pale wood.
when I got my own bedroom I tried having a white, airy minimal vibe going. didn't work. I'm not too girly either. I have all-white furniture, vintage maps and books, puzzles ive made, Space posters, led lights that illuminate neon paintings, softball things and a jersey shadow box on the way. So yea id love to know what aesthetic I am. Especially before I move out for college. Id like to know how I should decorate my apartment. It has dark wood furniture and beige🤮walls.

I love vsco, cottage core, vintage and ligth academy. I have a lot of ligths anywhere you look, you see fairy ligths or smth like them, and i like to put them on only. I love plants, and old paper/book pages styled posters onmy wall. I wan’t to make bed canopy, as well!

hahaha you see that aesthetic often in countries where it’s always warm, like hawaii for example, but I have beach pictures on my wall and I just leave them hanging all year because I like the vibe, but I still decorate for christmas :)
