Coming from a hard life and being a songwriter, this song speaks the truth. My ex took everything from me. My daughter, home, sanity, sobriety and much more. I spent several sleepless nights crying, drinking, holding random women and traveled many miles. Never could bring myself to get out of my own head and heart. She left a hole in my heart and it was in the shape of just her. Everyone tried telling me it’ll be over soon and I’ll be fine, try this and that. But nobody could help. This song means the most to me rn becauee I’m just now sober from whiskey and I don’t try to seek women to take the pain away anymore. Thank you man. I’d love to write a song this good someday.
