I spent my childhood building forts also! My dad briefly worked at an appliance shop and brought me home refrigerator and stove boxes, i would make the most wonderful creations, so fun!
So something about the artist name and style was really tickling my memory so I looked him up and found out he designed the entire world for Adventure Time (before getting to the end of your video)! That is one of my all time favorite cartoons! His IG is unhinged I dunno if I would recommend anyone go to it lol, esp if you dont wat to see a naked dude on toilet raving about his new coloring book. I am scarred for life now. I have a theory about the desire to build forts and secret hiding places as kids... in the wild it would be really advantageous to have that skill as a child so you could hide if you were separated from your caregivers. So those that played more like that probably survived and passed on the tendency to want to do that. I remember one of my favorites was in a hollow space inside some bushes in an alley in Colorado. Now all I can think about is all the bugs and spiders and ticks, OH MY WTF??? Anyway, have you see the coloring book A Walk in Eden? It has a less unhinged surreal vibe similar to this one. I really need to color in it but it's just soo cool to look through and marvel at. I look forward to a flurry of Doodle Robot videos!
🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Laughing so hard about the naked guy. And yeah, I am not visiting that IG!! Thank you for the heads up.👍 Do you have a secret degree in anthropology! All this interesting knowledge you have amazes me!! And yes, I have seen A Walk in Eden and it is on my list... I must pace myself... For some reason?🤔 ..... 🤣🤍🖖👽
@@doodlerobot42 Yes actually I minored in Anthropology AND Biology, my major was Experimental Psychology. I wanted to study animal cognition, esp apes and how it relates to our own evolution of mind, but going to grad school didn't really pan out with the timing of starting a family. Also, academia is being completely gutted in general so not really a lucrative way forward for me in my 40s. But an education is never wasted! These effing student loans though....
@@colourfulpyrate I am sorry to hear that. Your facts always interest me!! And education has already been gutted. The last of us long timers are running for the hills. That is what happens when you try to apply capitalism to something that is really in the social safety net arena. I wonder if next, the rich and the academicians will start moving abroad in large numbers. I am seriously thinking about it.
