Thanks so much! I fixed the broken door latch on my 95 Subaru today from your guidance. It's great that people like you are out there giving us the ability to control our own (Subaru) destinies,
Thanks a lot! I followed your steps and was able to fix a speaker wire that was broken while a door gasket was being repaired. I have to admit I was intimidated, but it worked out great! Thanks again.
We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows this particular repair. We'll keep this in mind in the event that we need to make this repair.
Thank you so much for this video. I had to repair a broken speaker on my wifes 04 outback. It was so easy knowing how to get the door panel off so fast. Thanks again!
I have another question; How do you remove the subaru spoiler light? Do I need to remove the entire spoiler first? i should think so. could you make a demonstration video of how that is done on a 2005-2007 Legacy?
My Sister managed to drop a credit card in the window slot of the driver's side door of her Outback. Will be attempting to remove the panel as per these instructions, wish me luck!
None of the three doors (driver, passenger, back) would open with a key on my daughter's beloved 2001 Outback. That's a real problem if the battery in the fob, or worse the car, dies. There's no way to get inside, no way to open the hood to jump the car. The rods connecting the cylinder to the latch mechanism were disconnected on both sides. I hear this happens sometimes when somebody opens the locked car with a slim jim. This video helped me fix both side doors in an hour. Thanks! Parts question: The square screw cover is missing on one side. Can you get one for me?
Hey I have a question, It rained last night and I forgot to slide my rear window COMPLETELY up. there was a HUGE 5" gap and I didn't notice this because well, it's the rear window. anyways, it rained and I'm wondering if i am looking at potential problems in my 2006 Subaru Legacy. I just got her and I am in the process of polishing and removing paint chips.
This was so helpful. I'm on a next project... raising a window stuck in down position. I don't want to purchase a new power window motor right now. Do you have a video on how to raise a window that is stuck in down position? I've nearly done it... just seem to need to loosen one more thing. Same model of Subaru.
+Heather Parker Thank you for watching. Unfortunately we do not have a video for your application. We will keep this in mind for future repairs. www.1AAuto.com?TH-cam&CTA%20Comment&ATony 866-403-3393
I have a 2010 Outback. I'm trying to replace the Power Window Switch. Can I pop the panel off like you do you here, or does the entire door panel trim have to be removed? I keep getting stuck afraid of breaking a clip on the panel. Thanks.

Hi-- I have a 2006 subaru outback with the driver side door jammed shut. Looks like its stuck in the lock position. How do I unlock the door from the inside? We have the panel opened so we can get inside, just not sure what we need to do to unlock the door? any help would be appreciated... This is what we think it wrong with it,-- "The actuator rod for the exterior handle had fallen off the upper pivot and jammed the power lock mechanism" however our model doesn't have rods, it has cables.... Please HELP... thanks
HI Denise, If you reach inside the door, you should be able to pull on the rod or cable (that is connected to the latch) by hand to pop the door open. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
Thanks for the video! I am about to replace the speakers in my Subaru Outback. I thought the factory radio was bad because the radio would come on but no sound now I know the speakers are no good
The Door Handle trim seems so fragile though and yours came off like a piece of metal!? Isn't it clipped on around the outside? (Not clipping into the inner side)
+SoundGuyDavo Thank you for watching. Most of the inner door handle trim/bezel are held on by clips on the outside, and some may be fragile due to usage and weather factors. You will just need to be gentle and it will come off with no issues. 1aauto.com
Very old comment, but the trick with they is to push them out from inside the handle, the tabs push out toward the rest of the door, soyou need to push from inside the door handle, and it doesnt break
I thought it was gonna be harder than that,,,you should now show how to replace the speakers,,,they charging me about 500 to install front and back doors speakers,,,,please I need help...
Once you remove the door panel there should be a couple of bolts that hold the speaker in place. Remove the bolts, disconnect the wire, and you should be able to swap your new speakers in. Hop this helps you out. 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
1A Auto Parts thank you so much. One more question and it's a little more complicated. How do i and where do I install the amplifier for my subwoofers. This will save me big money. And Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Thank you for the video!! Helped a great deal to find some loose bolts holding the window motor. She works great now!!
I want to thank you so much for putting this up it really helped when it came to repairing my door lock.
It is similar but not the same. You can use this video as a guide for you.

Fantastic video! Ive been nervous jumping into this job but this made things nice and clear!
As long as the window still moves up and down with that switch, you should have no issues.
My Sister managed to drop a credit card in the window slot of the driver's side door of her Outback. Will be attempting to remove the panel as per these instructions, wish me luck!
Where can I get a new panel I’m trying to replace mine and I can’t find any like mine, but the one in the video is the exact color of mine

+Marc Whitaker Thank you for your feedback. I apologize we do not carry the screw cover for a 2001 Subaru Outback.
was able to replace my blown speaker, thanks!

Thanks. Wanted to be sure the handle bezel and master switch had to be removed. Didn't want to force it.
Thanks so much. I, too, was worried about prying the wrong places and breaking clips, etc. You make it look easy!
Patience is key with this sort of stuff. Thanks for watching! 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
