@@prod.deathwish so I kept it- I never intended to carry it. It looks cool - but no doubt I would rather have a second micro tech. I honestly think it’s more of a gimmick then a actually duty grade knife like the company markets it as.
You got to admit the Pro's are that it is very good looking to ME, the tight lockup is something I did not see coming from SOG. The Con's are that it is little expensive, the button can be a yay or nay, I have heard of misfires quite a few times, It's very heavy, and finally the blade only has S30V steel, which is not a premium steel like Microtech's come with. I will admit that S30V is still a mid tier steel or a bit higher, and I still think it's very decent, but not for $350 - $400.
The steel is actually s35vn which is better than s30v, and one of my fav steels personally. Also mine has never misfired.. I feel like people who don't know how to maintain a otf knife are the people saying it misfires haha, I mean ya you get debris inside it then it could very well misfire but same with any otf. Keep it clean and oiled with rem oil and your good, I have a separate vid on how to care for it. and personally I don't think it's heavy, tho it is heavier than a ultratech for sure
Blade is thin and the handle is big . Buy the microtech Dirac or Dirac delta, way better. Very minimal blade play and simple solid sears that can be hammered like a nail .
Studies and Observation Group is the name of the company, SOG
Oh haha that makes sense, I didn't know that
@@straighttothepoint3477 I didn't either until recently. Thanks for making the video. Can't find and reviews so it's nice to see it get used.
i really hope they make a satin single edge version
Just ordered one yesterday. Comes tomorrow. They sold out an hour after I ordered.
I have both , my pentagon had a ton of miss fires right out of the box-
Interesting, I have not had that problem at all
Mine seems fine.
hey you got a update on how it is now? seen alot of people talking about how the pentagon has huge design flaws

Internals are garbage. Microtech are proven rock solid nail . I’ll take little blade play, then bogus internals like the infidel
@@fugoogle5802 go check out my full review of the sog pentagon
Wow, the packing is underwhelming for a 350 dollar knife.
