I really like the Sega CD version of these games, really nice music and graphics, which gives this a much more cinematic feeling to it than it already did. 🥰

Also, Heart of The Alien isn't that bad though. Yeah sure, I'm aware that Eric himself disowned the game, but I think it did a decent job at continuing the story of the game, especially since this is the only form of a sequel we'll get overall tbh.

This version of the game, is a master piece, i also do not understand why people do not like in the sequel, wich is for me at least as good as the di chapter with a even more complex 3D graphic... People did not like the main character died ? In my opinion that was even a better idea for making something unexpected at the time, i love this version and in my eyes, together with "The Terminator" is absolutely the best game on Sega CD.

It's the very best way he could go realistically - he is biologically a different species and can never be accepted as one of them, the society he got into is extremely authoritarian and militaristic so there is no way to recreate that collider experiment through negotiation and subjigation of the opressors is impossible due to huge technological difference between the Friend's tribe and the Keep's society. Lester was doomed to die either of old age or of an alien disease he definitely would've got (we get sick with cold at least one a year, the alien substitute would inevitably infect the protagonist sooner rather than later and it would've been lethal due to lack of medicine and unaccustomed immune system), instead he chose the third option and became a hero to his Friend's race and died with purpose.
