I already got my cdl through prime I left for a personal reasons but I'm coming back in a few months I'm Curious about the tanker division. I've only done reefer thinking about switching divisions. What's the pay like
Like get more information on prime cdl class
@stevo6891 usually out 10-14days then home for 2 usually just depends.
@@lesliefinch103 you can average 1700-2200 per week leasing with the tanker division at Prime. Money depends on a lot of different things. Availability is the key to making 💰
@stevo6891 2-3 per week
Keep trucking brother!!! I enjoy your videos!!! You’ve taught me a lot I appreciate it !!!
Good luck with those shots 😂
Better than getting sick
lol
shit he gon die bruh! ppl droppin like flies out here. "you ARE the research" lol
Thank you for your videos. I enjoy them. Very educational. The coolant info is a true “heads up”.
I love your videos man. Remind me the day when I was trucking, please make more videos.
Currently in my tnt phase at prime been fun so far hope too eventually see you out there keep up the awesome work
That was good zip tieing the electrical hose in back of semi Rex also ur right about frozen brakes have safe week on the roads
We love you here in Indianapolis Rex !! Safe travels!!
Hey Rex, glad to see you back to pulling tanker! Be safe out on the road!
Thank you, I will
@@truckingwithrex no problem!
Whole time I just been buying coolant back & forth for these tanks that suck it all from my truck not knowing prime would reimburse me for it😐…… thanks for the info bro, much needed and appreciated 🙏🏾
Do the same for hydraulic fluid! That stuff adds up.. 💰
@@truckingwithrex I submitted that macros 22 for reimbursement immediately after I watched and they surely approved it😂 thanks again bro. Also wanted to ask if you had any tips on how to avoid any spill from the hoses once you reverse the pump and try to disconnect everything?
Love the channel. Get a mike that clips to your jacket/shirt so you can talk while driving.
Can you get black rubber air lines ( service & emergency) for your tractor? They don't get stiff, crack and break easily. Even in warmer weather they're nice and bendable. Absolutely carry a "" Carpenters Hammer "". Yeah a rubber mallet too. Just be careful banging on the brakes. I always try to hit the shoe and the drum flush. Don't wail on it as much as a firm, steady tap, tap, tap. Leave your trailer brakes released when you park. Just set the tractor brakes. Stay warm and safe travels
Gotta love the voice over! Beats the music or dead silence lol
I purchased one of your Shirts brother! Love the channel, can’t wait to go back home on hometime and wear that bad boy. Love the channel keep it up 👍🏻
If your brakes freeze up,put some alcohol inn your service line, most times it works once but if not do it again and Happy motoring!!!
Rex, maybe a plastic bag around the hopper plug , because you don't want any corrosion or electric problems, greetz from Holland Julian Car hauler trucking lady
Stay warm brother, stay warm!
Hey Rex, we just missed each other earlier today. That was me in the silver Pete pulling out of 90 in Batesville, AR. I didn't realize it was you until I got to the side of you and saw your youtube tag.🤣 I hope all is well and be safe out there, bro.
LOVE that color on your Pete 🤙
The tanker universe is it's own animal I miss it sometimes
Bro i appreciate your vlogs your very informative...keep trucking and putting out your content..ive watched alot of volgs the last few years and you by far are the best and made me come to a decision on my next moves..hope to come to Prime by the end of summer..until then i,a keep followingyour vlogs!! #texastycoon
I am so glad you’re back. Where’d you get the dent on the left side of your truck? Can’t wait for your next video. I missed you. Stay safe out there!
At least you can help out with hoppers when needed
Thanks!
You bet! And thank you for the SUPER THANKS 😊 🙏
Another great video as always from you. It’s great learning about the trucking industry from you. The black satin jacket you were wearing in a previous video is it the same on back as the jacket your wearing in this video? Could you show what the other jacket looks like on back?
SUGGESTION Some of these songs are bangers Definitely not my kind of music but they jam. You should put like a banner on the corner of the video with the name of the song and the artist. The song @28:40 was banging.
Just wondering, since you’re pulling a company trailer does prime cover the cost of the extra coolant that you carry for their trailer?
Yes you have to send in your receipts for reimbursement
Hey Rex love the show been watching all the episodes. Does your time on your clock when you say 10hrs is that drive time or all your time?. Not sure how that works with load time and everything else. Thanks man
You get 14 hours of clock per day and you can drive for 11 hours per day. The other 3hr difference is for on duty time for load/unloading etc. hope this helps
Just use a spray bottle with water and rubbing alcohol to loosen your brakes if they freeze. Don't use a hammer on metal. Rubbing alcohol. Is 128° below zero for freezing point.
As always I appreciate all the great tips 😃
@@truckingwithrex From one trainer to another. Collaboration is key. 👍
@@brbtruckn3526 100% agree 👍
If you put water in the alcohol, doesn't that defeat the purpose?
@@ogdriver5334 Good point. To dive deeper depends on the bottle sprayer that you buy. If you go cheap the alcohol will deteriorate the pump and if you go expensive, the less water you would have to use to keep the deterioration from happening
I have a CDL am going to prime in December i will use your promo code
i think i would have tried the disconnect service/switch inside the APU instead of going to the battery connection. you might want to try that next time first.
During freezing temps I just wouldn’t set my trailer brakes when I parked 😎
I never do but sometimes there is small leaks and the brakes set themselves while I’m asleep 🤦♂️
Little hit for you. I always clean my ears and my door mirrors with rain ax. That way, the water beats off everything
I am considering going to Prime to get my CDL. How long was your TNT training? How do you overall like getting your licenses through them? I am stuck between wanting to do referr or tanker? How long does the 50,000 miles generally take?
Last time I checked you getting good during the Springs summer take care of the rig as ii is your period
Love your videos bro! What GPS do you use?
Wassup Rex jus started leasing with prime and I was wondering how fast u be running your truck cuz I running mine at 68 and that diesel prices kicking my ass
If the APU doesn’t provide enough heat have you considered getting an Espar diesel heater in your lease purchase?
Good question not sure 🤔 but when I purchased my truck I’ll be upgrading the insulation in the whole cab it’s an upgrade
Prime needs to supply the coolant not your trailer thanks for the great videos safe travels
Prime doesn't supply any fluids for their trailers, not coolant, not reefer fuel.
Trucking 101 when it's that cold run truck all night them apu can't do shit that cold your going to blow apu our
Jim here 🎉
Don’t set the trailer brakes. Back up a little before you go forward. 2 tips
What type of new truck you thinking of getting
Is the clock always running? Even when you’re parked, waiting to be loaded?
No you just switch to off duty when your in limbo
Hey man, great videos.
I’m from Australia and am really interested in starting my career in trucking. Also would love to work in the US do you know if Prime takes on people from other countries?
Look into a work visa. I would like to drive one of those truck trains you have there.
@@richspurlock24 yea, they are so big. The amount of distance they cover though is insane. Nothing but desert crossing the Nullarbor.
Bro do you get paid all 8 hours af waiting tank wash and the loading?
If the panel for apu is frozen. You can open up the door and pop off the panel behind the apu panel and there is a disconnect there. You can disconnect that for a few min and reconnect and it will fix it. I can send you a video if you would like hit me up.
Great tips much appreciated 👍
@truckingwithrex np my panel froze on me once also. Lot easier to do that then do all the stuff you did with the battery.
Use rainx on your windows and mirrors
Covid shot are still a thing🤷♂️ never got one never will. Luckily I've never got sick either
Hard to believe prime doesn't pay for your shots. I would think they would want their drivers immunized so they could work.
That's hard to believe? Really?
How often are you home?
About another video why did prime have you dh from ogden,ut to Springfield about a week ago with ur student?
Prime use to have a reload out of Spanish Fork Utah. We no longer have so anytime we deliver to Ogden Utah we either deadhead to Bellevue Nebraska or to the Springfield MO tank wash Prime owns. I’m paid per mile so I LOVE all that deadhead 😊
You need to make a in depth pay check video.
Will work on this
Isn’t there a fuel island at the yard
Can u pull the hopper again
Dont know who needs to hear this, but the constant need for boosters shows the science is not working but the business model is.
is prime a car carrier ?
Prime drivers will be lease or team only soon
Do you know vens on the road he's another prime driver just curious if yall met
I have not met him in person but we crossed paths on the freeway
Why did you not go Hopper?
He said in previous video he don’t live in the right area
Does prime require c-vid shot?
No
How much does hopper pay?
Not enough id stay also it’s not a good location out of Springfield MO. Maybe I got a week of crap loads 🤔 🤷♂️ $1200 the week I ran hopper, I make $2200 solo pulling tankers
@@truckingwithrex By "make" do you mean net after taxes?
Hi Rex..I am a trucker too but im African currently in Africa but I wd gladly appreciate yo help I wnna join you guys there but I just don't know how
Hi REX
Can I ask a question in privet?
Shoot me an email or hit me up on IG info is on my TH-cam channel info page
2nd maybe ? 😂
Do you get paid from TH-cam?
Why didn’t your health insurance pay for those shots? That’s a lot of money
Are you still driving 60 ? If you are just think of money you are saving
