And he's correct. If you want to fight against an enemy you gather as much information as you can first. Find their weak points and come up with a strategy to attack those weak points. It may not guarantee you win but it does give you an upper hand

When Zestial says “we can’t act without more intelligence” you can see Velvette realise that he will be too hard to make snap, and so she decides to focus on Carmine. Velvette is a really good character and I hope to see more of her later

I like that he sings that line to the same pace as her song, Kinda flowing with the motion and staying steady, which helps lean into how he wasn't ruffled by her, she couldn't crack him.

You can *tell* Zestial is old becauase of the form of English he uses - places him at the late 1600s - 1700s.

He has such a great design, and I fully believe that if Carmilla hadn't jumped in singing to stop her from pushing Zestial further, the Vees would be one constanant fewer.
The sad part is...Alastors right. That WAS probably the most productive meeting I've seen in one of these board rooms. They laid out terms, expectations, and all in only a few minutes. Good job.

I love how calm and collected Zestial responses to Velvet’s attempt at taunting, like he sees her as nothing but an over confident child.

zestial is scary because he's old. even alastor admits this. we don't know how old zestial is. he is calm, he is very old and even has an angelic sounding name which is enough to show that amongst the millions of souls the overlords own, he may easily have the most. he seems like the kind of guy who could even match lucifer if he had a way to kill him.

I have to respect how smart and observant Velvette is she really figured out that Carmilla killed the angel in a 1 min song
Also highlights that though Velvette has high emotional intelligence, she doesn't have the wisdom to foresee the long term consequences or maybe why Carmila is hesitant on revealing the information or that she cannot get Zestial angry. She also burns more bridges with other overlords by being respectless to significantly older overlords while flaunting her supposed intelligence. Also her behavior contrasts to how Zestial obtains information he needs later on because he suspected something is amiss during this song.

I really like the change of instruments, the Spanish intrusiveness for carmine, and the pop for velveteen I really love it
Velvette's character is so spot on for the physical manifestation of Social Media. She's annoying, arrogant, and disrespectful...but f*ck she does grab the attention of everyone that sees her...
From what I see, it doesn't seem sinners are manifestations of aspects but use them as tools to become gang lords. Just their deaths do have influence on how they manifest in hell with powers like magic, abilities, and unique physiology like wings or toxins. Alistor has deer-like attributes because of being mistaken by a hunter and a radio voice from his job. The radio host personality he had all along. Vox for example does have the ability or exist in tv space, but doesn't really show that he has much else going on, and it's even said that he possibly relies on his position among the V's. Alistor wasn't the radio demon from the start and he doesn't get power from radio or people using it, he got his power most likely from how he lived as a serial killer, and later in hell, from being a deal maker. He appeared in hell powerful enough and then broadcast his carnage after starting.

I was unsure of it at first because I was expecting a sort of Haley Quinn voice based on her design, but I must say this song and her voice so far in the show with the accent have really sold me on her voice as it complements the spoiled bratty character she is. I also really like how Velvette is just as smart as the other Vees, and though she a brat, she is still clever and cunning in uncovering Carmillo's secret

Always remember "we can't act without more intelligence" is the best lyric and it's sung by someone who's first and last appearance in the show (so far) is this episode and only gets about 5 minutes of screentime

While she was trying to force him into a tirade, he answered in just one line, that a) let her know, that he doesn't intend not just play by her rules, even to rhyme by her scheme (the rest of the song is rhymed by ABAB, he rhymed his line by AABB), b) can be interpreted in two ways "not enough knowledge about the subject to act) and "this way to act is stupid", if Velvette started answer to a complaint about "we know too less about her death", she would show herself like a fool, who isn't capable of recognising an insult, if Velvette started answer to an insult of her mind, she would show herself as a fool, who always digs too deep, without noticing surface. Both scenarios would harm her reputation, that's very bad for her, because she's an overlord of XXI century. He completely overplayed her in just one line.

It’s kind of a 50/50. Carmilla is completely justified in reminding Vel that she needs to take a backseat, and if they rush forward blindly then they’re on a one way ticket to oblivion.
However, Vel is also on point, because we know that when the Angels do come back, there’s going be no one left, so they really need to act now.
Vox is not gonna be pleased that he won’t be able to get Carmilla on the books for that angelic security he promised. I’m also interested to see which angle Alastor is trying to play with him knowing the identity of the Angel’s killer
Yeah like putting together what we know from the trailer, Charlie will eventually help plan the defense against the angels, so she must learn somehow that both 1. The angels are going to kill all the sinners next time they come back, and 2. the angels can be beaten by the sinners.
Will alastor be the one to reveal the second part? and if he does is it going to be out of genuinely wanting to help keep his project and himself alive, or is he trying to somehow swindle charlie and lucifer into giving him more power than he already has?
Well they are fucked in every case, for what we know only an overlord was able to kill an exorcist and how many overlords exist? 9/10 and there are thousands of exorcist plus they probably are the weakest entities in Heaven, not even lucifer and the other deadly sins would dare tò defy Heaven. So in summary for what we know overlords aren't enough for all the exorcist and even if they were able to defeat them the Heaven would Just send more power down to hell and exterminate them. And for what Adam said "there won't be anyone with the Power to do this trick again" so he could refer to 2 things he could try tò kill so much sinners that overlords will lost power or what i think Is that adam Is thinking about target all the strong ones so yes they are fucked no matter what they choose

This is such a brilliant usage of storytelling unfolding out through song - Velvette depicts through the words she speaks, the inclination of the music, just the overall being of that transition at the end after she begins her last nailing hit, "... couldn't help, but observe, that your wrinkled face was turning red" and onward, she had a lotta suspicions of Carmilla already, but her suspect behavior this entire meeting, and her attempt to put down any call for violence, a very unusual proposition for an arms dealer overlord, these final moments just play out soooo viscerally, this is one of the best clips of anything I have ever seen, that little moment just is soooo goood.

It stuns me that Velvette's VA is American. She does that accent so well. THIS is why you recruit theater actors for these kinds of roles. They have been taught to project and adapt their voices in incredible ways.

Yep, almost anyone that comes from a good BFA/MFA Musical Theater pedigree can do this type of stuff. It's literally what we spend thousands, tens of thousands of hours doing: 8+ semesters of singing lessons, 6+ semesters of dance (mostly jazz, hip-hop, and ballet), and over a dozen acting classes including a couple devoted to just accents/dialects, plus a semester each of voice for film, voice for radio, and voice for stage.
That is why it is a shame whenever I see lackluster performances on major network/streaming stuff (not talking about this; Hazbin Hotel has very good voice acting) because I know so many people who are insanely talented performers who end up not getting work and eventually switch fields (like I did) who would give way better performances than loads of people who are on tv/radio.

I just realised after watching the final episode. The Vees were never intending to actually fight the angels at all. They were just trying to gasslight the other Overlords into fighting, so they would get slaughtered and then they would swoop in and take their territories

Which really had no chance of working, the Vees really overestimate their relevance and place on the totem pole in Hell's lowerarchy. In reality, any of the Overlords in the meeting would swat the Vees (individual or group) like bugs; they've had longer to establish their power base and gain enough followers to completely dismantle the Vees in a fight. The only thing the Vees have going for them is their status as a Triumvirate, anywhere that one is weak the others shall cover but the whole is more likely to fall as if one crumbles so does the other two.
Or they didn't fight BECAUSE the other overlords didn't step up, and also at that point the angels were going for the hotel which 2/3 Vees have personal beef with.

Zastiel to me was still the most impressive one in the room, he both stated the truly wisest course of action and thought, and figured out who killed the angel all in the same 10 minutes.
To be fair, he didn't figure it out until Velvette pointed out how Camille was acting, and that she had her suspicions Camille had something to do with the angel's head

The expressions in this were among the best I've seen. Velvette was completely caught off-guard by Carmilla in the beginning, and Zestial gives great expressions that follows the song. Love this, 100/10
For those unaware Zestial is the oldest overlord so it stands to reason he laid the foundation most of the other overlords follow and has earned the respect of most of them. also there's a reason why he's still alive
