My first video from you! Really enjoyed this and REALLY like most of your choices!! I am 1 year back to cross stitch after a looong hiatus - it is very hard to stop myself from jumping in BIG TIME. I just turned 71 and need to figure out just what I want to leave behind... I have watched a few of the newer stitchers to flosstube and they have an APP on their phone that spins a wheel and each segment on the wheel is named with a WIP - whatever it stops on is what they stitch on that day - one lady works on it for 3 days. I like that idea as it takes away the pain of having to choose.... now to figure out my phone and get the APP on it... Ha! The other thing I do is listen to an audiobook - I can focus on what I'm stitching and keep my brain tuned in to a good listen! Have a wonderful Christmas!
Welcome to my channel, and welcome back to stitching! I took a 15 year hiatus from stitching and returned in 2016 and it has been full steam ahead. You can get a good laugh by watching my first video 🤣🤣🤣. I have done the wheel before, and like everything else, it falls to the wayside. I am hoping by seeing the pics posted on the boards on my wall each day it will remind me of the great WIPs that I have and encourage me to get them done. I do other needlework as well, so I need to focus on giving time to all my crafting endeavors. Thank you so much for allowing me to spend some time with you, and you find my channel enjoyable. Merry Christmas!!
Beautiful WIPs. I've got over 200 and I definitely feel the need to stop the super starting and get some finishes in. I went through and picked 75 to focus on. I really don't have any advice because to me , I either want finishes or I don't. I've had a "come to Jesus" chat with my stitchy bug and she's in the understanding now that next year is the year of finishing not starting 🤞😉
I feel your pain. I hope to have that with my stitxhy bug, but she has locked herself in my craft room and refuses to come out! 🤣🤣🤣. I have the boards made up and hoping she sees them and realizes we need to get them done. Merry Christmas!
I hate to tell you how long my Earth Dancer sat waiting for her beads and her fringe (I think enough time passed that she could have legally purchased an adult beverage). I generally don't mind beading, but I used a hand-dyed fabric and I was afraid some of the densely beaded areas just wouldn't work. It felt so wonderful to have her finished! Miss Christmas Eve is lovely - I'll be virtually cheering you on to get her beaded. I love "parade season".. thanks for sharing all of your lovely pieces with us! I'm definitely a ""stitch what I want" kind of girl. Setting rules for myself makes me rebel immediately!!! I did WIPGO in 2024, which worked well for me without feeling like I set rules. I actually had 3 boards - I had one with my WIPs on it, and I set a goal of working on each piece for 4 days.. a "day" would be a stitching session. It could be 2 hours on a work night or 6 hours on a weekend day when I didn't have any plans. Then I had a board for ornaments that I had kitted up and never started (from back in the early 2000s no less!) My goal there was to get a good start on them, but I finished most that I started. My last board was to FFO ornaments that were stitched but never made into ornaments. My plans went well until I ran into a 2 week vacation followed by the time to do some secret stitching for the Queen City retreat that I attended in October. I fell completely off the WIPGO wagon for the rest of the year. I'm still thrilled, though with the number of pieces that I put some work into; especially the ones that I haven't touched in a while. The ornament board kept me happy with new starts, too. I'm going to follow the same plan again this year. Hopefully I'll manage my other stitching a bit better so I can complete my boards. 🪡👠
Wow, three boards!! Sounds like you were very disciplined a good part of the year so congrats on that! I find it hard to stick to plans and I am definitely a stitch what you want when you want to kind of girl. I also find that when I stitch on some projects, I will stick with them for days because I am enjoying them souch I don't want to stop. I am hoping that the board with all the pics will motivate me to work more on the project I have going and stop looking at new things to start 🙄🙄🙄. I will have to check out your videos and see all those new finishes. Thanks for visiting with me and Merry Christmas! Jacque
@CrossMyStitches I'm very much the same as you. I found that trying to get 4 stitching sessions on each wip that was called left me plenty of time to continue with it or to stitch on other things that called to me. I hope your board helps you!
Thank you for singing five little pumpkins. I had totally forgotten that song my daughter use to sing at Halloween. You brought back precious memories for me. Enjoyed all your shares. ❤
I have that forest piece kitted up for a 2525 start! I have a piece of the palest green linen. Can’t wait to get started on it. Lots of beautiful projects ahead of you. Maybe it would help you to sort into seasons, and instead of trying to touch all of them, work diligently on one seasonal, and one “everyday” until they are finished. Maybe that high of finishing will encourage you to fully finish more. But always keep in mind it is a hobby, not a job! Merry Christmas!
@ it’s all about doing what makes you happy! Sometimes what I do is tell myself absolutely no new start until I have at least 1FFO. But always important to remember it’s a hobby, not a job.
Woo hoo! That was fun. Someone else tried a wip board but it was metal so you could use magnets and easily rearrange things. I’ve put together a spreadsheet to plan my projects for next year but it doesn’t stop me from starting more. 🙄😂 enjoy your time with your family and friends ~ elisa
The poster board is a winner of an idea. Seeing as how I only don one at a time, I keep it right by my laptop. Your next floss tube, I expect to see your poster board wall.🥰
Wonderful WIPs! We have the same number of WIPs. 😊 I've been trying to WIP down for 2 years but always end the year with more. 😂 I'm trying not to stress too much over it but I do want to at least work on all of them in 2025 even if I don't finish them.
I will definitely want to get my WIPs down next year and hoping the board will remind me that I have plenty to chose from without starting something new!
Hi there from sunny Puerto Rico. Great wip parade enjoyed every bit of it wow the idea is handworkmanic. I will do the same. Board with photo of every wip. I am working on a Victoria sampler almost done. Then to work on taking and making photos of my wips. Enjoy the holidays
Great parade. I need to do that poster beard thing. I have tried WIPGO for the last two years and failed miserably. Like you, I start things and then the next shiny thing comes along and I'm gone! I'm starting to rethink a lot of things this year. Your bags are beautiful. Michelle
My issue is out of sight, out of mind. I think maybe the board will help keep me focused. I ran over to the dollar tree today and picked up 2 poster boards and pics from Walgreens and have it all set up. I will talk about on the next video. Glad you enjoyed the parade. Thanks for visiting with me. Jacque
Love your tube Great presentations Followed your stocking tube and finished 3 Christmas stockings.
That’s great! I'm glad the stocking tube was helpful.
Such a great WIP Parade… so many beautiful projects!
Have a blessed Christmas and a joyous and healthy new year!
Thanks so much! Merry Christmas!!
Great WIP parade!!! Happy Happy New Year!!!!
Thanks so much! Happy New Year! 🎉🎉🎉
I started Rose Quaker this month. ❤️🎄🎁
Would you believe that I picked up Rose Quaker and have been working on her after the video..

Yay! Sitting down to watch! We need to zoom again😊😊😊😊 I get the new start high too😂
Maybe right after the new year! Merry Christmas!!
Wonderful wip parade and you must finish the Crocette a go go Winter Sampler. Its gorgeous 😁 ❤
I know, it’s so pretty. I will get back to it next year!
A pleasure as always ❤ Merry Christmas !!! 🎄🎁🪡😊
Merry Christmas to you too!
Really enjoyed your wip video. I have some of same patterns
It is always fun to see other stitchers working on the same patterns! Great minds!!

This was so much fun to watch you go through your goodies!!!❤ Love and miss you lady. I’m gonna get to Somerset again someday. Merry Christmas!!!🎄
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Love ya and Merry Christmas!!!🎄
I enjoyed seeing your WIP parade. Great idea about posting pics of projects on a board. Ty for mentioning my channel. : )
You are so welcome!

Doesn’t the Rose Quaker also remind you of the colors in Fruits of Plenty? Very gorgeous and autumnal to me
They are both beautiful patterns for sure. I think Rose quaker will be a focus for me next year. I love it so much!
Yes, please share the name of the book where the Karen Kluba tree pattern can be found. I love it.😊
It is called, A cross stitch Christmas - Hamdmade memories. I believe it is from 2013. Thanks for watching!
Must always have a Plan B
Usually, my plan B is... Whatever!!
Woo hoo! That was fun. Someone else tried a wip board but it was metal so you could use magnets and easily rearrange things.
I’ve put together a spreadsheet to plan my projects for next year but it doesn’t stop me from starting more. 🙄😂 enjoy your time with your family and friends ~ elisa
If the board is too cumbersome, I may try the metal board. Thanks
Great WIP parade. You have some large challenging pieces. Like you, I like to start projects. I am trying to reduce my WIPs. TFS.
We can do it!! Thanks for watching, and Merry Christmas!
The poster board is a winner of an idea. Seeing as how I only don one at a time, I keep it right by my laptop. Your next floss tube, I expect to see your poster board wall.🥰
I hope it will be a big enough wall for all of them!

Of course, Brenda's came to me a little too late! 🤣 thanks for watching, and Merry Christmas!
