also what if black beard is trying to perform a ritual which forms a god fruit? maybe not an existing one, but a new one. think about it. God fruits are supposedly all 3 fruits combined, and if black beard is going after a zoan, that will make him a god, like you said. but instead of having all 3, what if when he obtains all 3, all of them will combine into one new fruit? if his desire is to become a god and rule the world, maybe that desire will form the new fruit that blackbeard will posses?
Pinned because I love the idea - maybe he knew he doesnt have the "will" to awaken a REAL god fruit (since sometimes people go crazy when they awaken zoans according to Shaka) and maybe he (or Rocks) knew this was a way to become a new God (maybe the Moon God) to challenge the status quo. Gods were adding to the Pantheon from time to time (other cultures also added gods sometimes over time) so maybe that same thing is happening here. If BB were to ever die, maybe he leaves behind a single new God fruit

I like the theory that he already ate his third fruit and that fruit is the Davy Jones fruit. We know that Davy Jones exist due Davy Back Fight, the game also has a lot of connections to the number 3, same way Blackbeard has. And Davy Jones would be a literal "devil" fruit because Davy is the devil of the seas. One of the powers of the fruit could be giving you, the user, the power to eat other 2 fruits.
I can't begin to imagine a darkness awakening, the quake-quake fruit from WB would probably make you an earth god
Personally I like the theory that backbeard has already eaten his third fruit, and in fact ate it before he even ate the darkness fruit. basically the theory is that he ate a Kraken fruit, which gave him 3 hearts much like an octopus in real life, and those 3 hearts are what allowed him to eat 3 devil fruits in the first place.
plus a mythical kraken fruit fits the pirate theme perfectly.
I like that too, and a kraken with darkness powers (ink) and who can make earthquakes (maybe replaces conquerors haki) seems fitting
Probably not any kind of sea creature fruit. There dont seem to be any fruits that are sea creatures. And considering sea creatures need water to live but devil fruit eaters cant swim a sea animal fruit would be almost usless.
Most likely it's Cerberus. 3 headed demon dog of hell. Lines up with him not sleeping. Cerberus was a guard dog of hell. Always awake and always on watch. So he def has all 3 fruit types now.

I would really like to see Sengoku’s reaction to luffy’s form considering he probably has the closest thing to luffys god fruit with the Buddha. It also makes me wish we saw more of sengoku cause personally I think he has one of the coolest and underrated fruits and like if you simply compared the fruit itself to a fruit like the magma one it’s probably better but because Sengoku is out of his prime and the opposite with Akainu so it changes the balance.
Imagine sengokus awakening. I feel like it'll happen soon since hes gotten more peaceful over the time skip and less controling. And dragons are considered gods in japanese mythology so kaido awakening should also be pretty incredible.
I don't think this theory is necessarily going to happen, but that initial diagram of the 3 types of DF, 3 sub-types and 1 god type is absolutely gold, it's a brilliant idea.
What if next chapter it reveals that kidd only died in his own future sight, which would explain why shanks is called the observation killer.

Buggy being the rain god would be the best thing that could happen to the story, also If Sengoku is the Earth god then wouldn’t Blackbeard want to take that fruit as his last and kill Sengoku just before his old age does.

You know now that you mention it, Buggy and Law would be an insane combo. Imagine if law helped buggy and in return at a pivotal moment buggy turned into the ultimate weapon for law to use. Split into tons of pieces and then teleport them above a volcano or something
I think I am shocked that nobody talks about is how Luffy has one of the most unique and most powerful devil fruits even aside from gear fifth. Even way before wano I was arguing Luffy has the best defensive fruit because of his rubber body his body is essentially ready for any attack making him much more durable than anyone else would be. This in my opinion makes his fruit even better than a logia type because a logia type getting hit by haki or having seaprism stones will basically just have a normal body but luffy's body is always rubber, so even when he is hit by hockey he is still not taking the full brunt of the damage that anyone else would. I put luffy's fruit in all three categories
Um no haki covered bullet will hurt him like a real human. That's the whole point of haki .

Yes it will hurt but he won't take as much damage because his body won't absorb the attack the same, sort of like if you punch paper in the air compared to someone holding it tight. His whole body will stretch out including organs and bones. His bones are unbreakable. Then gear 5th turns up another notch by turning attacks to rubber, which is why he was able to take multiple attacks from kiado that nearly killed him before and just saying "ouch that hurt".

@@Perroden You misunderstood the effects of seaprism. Yes he stays rubber even with seaprism *on* his body. But that doesn't negate the attack of a bullet made *of* seaprism. Having seaprism on negates logia's from turning into their element, but since luffy isn't a straight logia, he isn't affected like that. His body stays the same but he's weakened. When he's shot by a seaprism bullet though, it affects his body as if it were normal in that area. His body's effect of stretching to negate the damage doesn't work there. The bullet shoots through him like normal.

@@DaksSake The limits of luffy's fruit seem to be his imagination, so if he thinks of a gear six he will have a gear six. I think that a gear six would be the combination of perfected haki and devil fruit, and I think that Luffy will learn the perfect, final, stage of haki from shanks.
@@DaksSake I could see gear 6th being like a gear 2nd for his gear 5th if that makes sense lol, I think more and more gear 5th will become his base for at least fighting, so he will probably go even further beyond since his imagination seems to be the only limiting factor, whether that be through stronger haki or better haki usage or through finding a new way to apply his devil fruit and escaping the gomu gomu no box he has put himself in since Shanks told him it was that fruit. So narratively it makes sense for Shanks to be the one to tell him what it really is.
The true "final" gear is Luffy realizing that there are no gears. Gears are restrictive to a specific form. So all gears must become one, and then become none. Total freedom lies beyond them.

I think Monkey.D.Dragon would make more sence to be the rain god, bc of all the theories of him possibly having a weather based power
I agree except there is a very large lack of screen time, and the parent-child reveal story might _work easier_ if the parent doesn't have some godly powers thrown into the equation.

I think Blackbeard had an kraken or octopus mythical zoan early on before a aquring the darkness fruit. Octopus have 9 brains and 3 hearts and would explain his multiple fruits, jolly roger, and differing personalities. He didn’t sleep early on in the whitebeard roger flashback and maybe this unknown fruit had something to do with it

Some things i would like to say about the other god fruits theory.
1. I like the idea that there are earth, forest, rain, and sun.
2. Sun logia powers could be fire, like we see luffy already use fire.
3. I would probably like to see “im” have the earth fruit as they have some strong powers that need addressing.
4. Rain- dragon just seems like a better fit then buggy.
5. Forrest- no idea but to me chopper and green bull feels wrong like it should be someone else idk

I still think that that the rain god could be dragon, logia could be like clouds or even rainwater. Paramecium being able to summon clouds and direct wind flow. And maybe with zoan he could turn into a cloud? Idk about that last one, it will probably just be another hito hito which enhances his rain abilities.
Zoan comes down to the "Mythical" possibilities of Fujin and Raijin the Thunder and Lightning Gods/Demons that would create storms.

Counter point and support to the Resin idea is Oil. The majority of rubber in the "First World" is made from Oil and of course Oil burns fitting in well with "Sun God" Nika as well as the Red Hawk move of luffy's.

Luffy might’ve awakened his fruit because he’s been interacting with the world as long as he can remember which might be why his fruit is so special. And he’s used his imagination just as much.
Hot take: what if Luffy never got the Nika fruit and only got a normal rubber fruit gear 5th would be just Luffy if he was able to just turn everything into rubber like how Domingo with his awakening string fruit 🤓

I am watching/ reading one piece since 2011 and i am 23 years old. No comic, no move, no series, no manga, no graphic novel, no anime and no rest of the fu*king things is better then one piece in this omnivore (if it exists). One piece for me is like a person that is in my life, how was there for me when no one was and taught me lesson of my life. I hope i never die before seeing the end (I hope it never ends because the last episode will be saddest day of my life ) because I will feel like I was not Lucky enough for having a good end. I got lost in the conversation because i am high sorry guys🙂.

I think robins fruit is the forest god. 1 its called the flower fruit. 2 she got a strange devil awakening. 3 from what we have seen so far god fruits’s titles arent directly tied to their powers like with luffy

I predict when Luffy and Blackbeard clash, BB will nullify Luffy's power at first, but eventually Luffy's Haki will protect his own power from Blackbeard's.
Chopper's fruit may be important its similar to luffys where he can manipulate his body at will.

This is probably all going to come together and explain the void century. there was probably a massive war that resulted in all the gods dying, which is why all the God fruits showed up again
I usually don't take part in any fandom discussions. But i personally think that Blackbeard might end up with the Hito Hito: Daibutsu fruit from Sengoku. Mostly because I think Blackbeard's third fruit will be one that has already been introduced and also one of the Hito Hito class. My reasoning for this is more from a storytelling / character building perspective. So the first 2 that would come to mind would be Choppers fruit and that of Sengoku. Choppers would make sense, since Blackbeard was on Drum Island for still not known reasons, but i'm gonna put my money on Sengoku since Chopper is the Maskot of the Strawhats, which makes him pretty damn near impossible to kill off or make him lose his fruit (since he would be left a regular reindeer without it). Also having the power of the Golden Buddha would make sense since it's a sort of pseudo-God, and the Shape would fit Blackbeard very well. Also there is an ongoing theme of the young generation taking over from the old one and Blackbeard stealing the Powers of the retired Fleet Admiral would also fit that narrative.
Just some thoughts that came up while watching this here Video and probably not the first to have those but i felt like sharing just for once
What gets me about these theories when people say “No but the fruit is called” or “blank said blank about this fruit!” it bugs me because those are just what people in the world know… the fruits were named and cataloged by people. Like real life, people only know as much as they’re told or see… if they see someone eat a fruit and stretch like rubber, they would call it the rubber fruit and write down that it makes you stretchy like rubber. Because that’s as much as they saw.
There’s no Wikipedia for devil fruits or true authority to ask… everyone is just doing their best with the information they have, but we see fruits break the “rules” all the time, because those rules are just observations… not laws. Like Katakuri, he proves that the system of cataloging isn’t reliable, just like platypuses and Tanuki and hyenas.. rules and categories are fine for general knowledge but they aren’t rock solid laws.
Anything is possible in the OP world, and it seems like they’re still learning new things about the soul, fruits, history, technology, and more every day!

I consider Kaido’s devil fruit a “god” fruit. Oda wrote in a volume (I believe in Little Garden) that Dragons are the closest things to “gods”. It comes from a belief in Japan where they put Dragons on a pedestal as divine creatures.
The people of Wano mention Kaido as a “deity” just like how they know of “sun god nika” and “joyboy”. They probably see Kaido as a deity due to him being a giant Dragon.
And it’s also part of the theme in the fight of Luffy vs Kaido as they are two Gods clashing.

I think Blackbeard simply put the fruit in one of his rings and the Yami Yami being able to nullify a fruits effect is what allows him to even wear it

The Buddha fruit Sengoku used was also a mythical zoan type. The Human-Human Fruit Model: Dibutsu (Buddha). The Buddha himself was in journey to the west were he challenged him for the right to one the jade emperor's throne.
I think Dragon will be the one with the Rain god, he carries the will of D, is the biggest enemy of the world government, after joyboy of course, and he used wind and lightning to save luffy from Smoker.
I think that instead of buggy being the rain god, maybe dragon can be him since everytime we see him we see a lot of wind and a storm like atmosphere.

If you remember, there is a scene where Kaido hits Luffy to the ground in gear 5th and luffy becomes a squished thing almost like a liquid and then came out looking weird and did the ufo attack.

One thing I realised, Buggy and the Charlotte Character with the mirror mirror no mi are the same race, big mom said there was only one race she hasn't had a child with, they both have the red nose, same lips and pastelle coloured hair, Oda has been hiding for shoding everywhere and I'm for it, a checkered fate if you will, also I think if oda is going the direction of making the most epic final war possible that tops everything, there are 2 things I think could happen, an event which causes all devil fruits to awaken into god fruits and space planetary travel. That is a potential thing in his pocket he could be saving for the final war.
Still think Dragon is more likely to be the Rain God.

I really wonder what the method blackbeard is using will be revealed as. It's clearly not surgery because whitebeard's body was unchanged but he needed to make sure nobody saw what he did. I feel like his fruit is the key to the method at least. And his body being altered somehow is another part of it.
I think it is something specific about his fruit. Even though his body can become Darkness non-haki attacks still affect because as he has stated his darkness draws it all in. So it would make sense that he could effectively use that darkness to pull the devil fruit power from someone else into himself, the same way Kuma's pads could have theoretically repelled anything, especially after repelling Luffy's pain from his body lends to the idea Kuma could have repelled the devil fruit power out of someone.
Theres a theory its not that blackbeard needed to not be seen, rather he needed total darkness.
His logia is already odd in that he can't manifest as darkness like every other logia can manifest as their element, but think about crocodile.
Crocodile normally can't be hit, hell just turn to sand. That is, unless you hit him with a soaking wet hand, water being his true opposite.
Now apply the same to blackbeard, darkness itself constantly engulfed by the light of day, he might be innately limited by the fact light is everywhere. Now put him in absolute darkness, remove those limitations. Now, he may be capable of something truly monstrous

If the sun symbolizes long ring long land the sun also has a big circle in the center that is bigger than the other ten so I have an idea that the bigger circle in the center of the ten smaller circles of the sun is LAUGH TALE and the smaller circles are the current long ring long land. And as Davy is under the long ring long land so as you can imagine the laugh tale was on its back and if let's guess I'm and joyboy fought on laugh tale it makes sense that joyboy awakened the freedom power on laughtale which affected the current long ring long land as well and Zuneshia last saw joyboy on a similar place like long ring long land it makes sense that the fight on laughtale was joyboy's last appearance. And the laughtale being on the back of Davy Jones gives the idea of "Davy back fights".
Maybe buggy’s awakening is to chop himself down on the molecular level and completely rearrange the structure himself or others. Turn pebbles into gold

I'm of the view that Marshall has the Ushi Ushi no mi model Ammit a god fruit capable of eating multiple fruits as its based off the creature that devours the souls of sinners in the ancient Egyptian underworld or that him and Kuma are of the same special race which could be based of the Baku tapir creatures who eats kids bad dreams.

i like the idea of blackbeard trying to get all 3 types of devil fruit. i'm thinking all hito hito no mi were created by technology from 900 years prior to one piece's present time. maybe all devil fruit were created, but hito hitos might of been specifically engineered.
Something about the process of creating one might involve having to combine fruits.
Oda is a mad man and we never know what his next move will be.
Croc could be a female, who was sex changed by Ivonka- or maybe IT just changed his facial structure.
Blackbeard might already have a third fruit- or xebec's mind/memories/soul.
Trying to guess where Oda will go from here is fun, but almost impossible.

I wholeheartedly believe we gonna see buggy awaken at the end of the story and breaking others/his surroundings to pieces like that shanks rip off guy from fairy tale..dont think oda will keep buggy weak till the end like king from opm or some other stuff with "lucky fraud"
Looking at the 3 way ven diagram, which is brilliant btw. Not sure if the color scheme was on purpose but if so, something just occurred to me. If both Luffy and BB are at opposite ends of the spectrum in different aspects style, morality, color etc. Luffy representing white, light, or the sun and BB representing black, darkness, water or rain. Now when I look at the diagram it's less circular and more triangular, meaning there should be a third God fruit in contrast to both Luffy and BB. If Luffy is a perceived Paramecia, that has zoan abilities and can evolve to develop logia traits, and BB is a perceived Logia, that gained a Paramecia ability, and may have or will obtain a zoan. This 3rd God fruit would be a perceived Zoan that has logia traits and or paramecia abilities. Seeing the Red made me think of Shanks. I know Shanks doesn't have a DF, but what if his sword Gryphon ate a devil fruit. We know it is possible. Shanks is the neutral (Grey) directly btwn BB & Luffy. The Griffin which has different spellings and fables from different cultures all generally state that the creature is a mix of the King of Birds and Beasts, Some common abilities associated with griffins include: flight, super strength increased speed. Griffins are sometimes portrayed as being able to run or fly at incredible speeds. Griffins are often shown as having sharp claws and a beak that they can use to attack and defend themselves. Intelligence: Because of their association with eagles, which are known for their intelligence, griffins are sometimes portrayed as being very smart and wise. As well as enhanced vision. On top of that they are the guardians of treasure. All of that describes Shanks in character and ability. Not sure if this theory even makes sense but it seems possible now with everything we know, and have seen in recent chapters.
The 3 Other God Fruits are going to belong to or have been intended for the other 3 Yonko.
There’s a reason there a 4 Yonko and seemingly 4 Gods.

your long ring long land (or whatever its called) theory would only be correct if we saw in current day the aftermath of that battle. I mean in Punk Hazard we see both lava / fire (Akainu) and Ice (Kuzan). but in the island you mentioned we don't see the effect of the opponent's devil fruit awakening.

The rain god would be weird for buggy. Skypiea is heavily influenced by south american culture and buildings. Theres 2 potential rain gods from south america and they are Chaac and Kukulcan. Kukulcan is a flying dragon like serpent and is the bringer of rain and wind. Fits very well with Dragon and how weve been introduced to him.
