BEGIN is an indigenous okinawan group from ishigaki yaeyama. title means "the flower of sanshin" and he's talking about how he misses his grandfather, how his grandfather tried to pass down the arts of okinawa traditional song but in his youth he always thought it was tedious. as he ages, he's finding a deeper appreciation for okinawan arts. its a song about the love and prosperity that can be found in okinawan cultures

My first true love was from Okinawa. Because of pressure from my family to end relations with her, I will never know what could have been. I'm married with two children whom I love very much, but I sometimes wonder if I made the right choice 16 years ago. Okinawa will always hold a special place in my heart and the love that was lost.
