Laser etching and tempered glass aren't rare or expensive so that doesn't explain anything ð. These are likely white label products which any brand can buy in bulk with their own label added. You can probably find the same thing much cheaper
filing your feet actually makes the cracking/flaking worse. youâre creating microabrasions that continue to heal in the same pattern, creating fine cracks and flaking. If youâre someone who files their feet you may notice no matter what you do ONLY a file works (for a few days then you have to file again). Itâs likely that your feet arenât as dry as it appears, but itâs just the uneven surface of the skin caused by a file. Overtime you could start to develop scar tissue in the area making your skin even harder, dryer, and more uneven. just do typical exfoliating like you would do anywhere else on your body (a wet wash cloth, an exfoliating brush/sponge, etc). if you feel the need to use something stronger, try a sloughing cream. Itâs basically a chemical exfoliant that takes away dead skin cells without scraping/cutting the skin. Itâs much safer and shows longer lasting results (because there are no abrasions). Always moisturize after exfoliating (unless stated on the directionsotherwise for sloughing products) and after coming out of water. Moisturizers (not the same as lotion) usually work best on damp skin. ALSO NEVER(!!!) allow a spa/salon to file /buff your skin or nails with anything that isnât disposable. If they bring over their files, buffers, pumice stones, etc. and you didnât see them be opened from a sealed package, request that they open a new package of each in front of you. If they refuse they are not reputable OR clean. Itâs unlawful to reuse those things on multiple clients. You can use them in the same client, but they have to be cleaned, disinfected, and stored properly. If youâre too nervous to ask for them to open a new package, you can bring your own tools (new and in a package) and ask that they use those on you. The tools they use often round out to less than $5 (a simple nail file, a small nail buffer, and a pumice stone(which i donât recommend using for the reason stated prior))
The best my skin has ever looked>no cracked feet, no foot care, was when I gave up carbs. There's only so much exfoliating can do for these bad boys nowððð
@@KJ-nv9uz Ha, I came to the comments section only to hurl some abuse at carbs for being the culprit. Wasnât disappointed. Any high/refined sugar diet or simple carbs can cause excessive cracked heels (along with a plethora of other health issues). Also, I donât see why one should pay $40 for a cheap glass file thatâs available anywhere for less than a quarter of the price. They are literally the same. I invested in a crystal nail file from Leighton Denny over 10 years ago. Paid a good chunk of money for it. My daughter uses a cheap one from Temu that cost less than a pound. It it just as good as the designer one.
Even until last week I would have been really impressed by this! I realised that a lot of things marketed towards us are quite unnecessary. Just cheap pumice stone which costed less than 5 dollars even does the job really well!
Nail tech here. Had the worst dry feet after having my 2nd baby and couldnât figure out what to do to heal them. Prior to I used to have the softest feet! I used my foot file every day and nothing worked. Then I decided to try my babyâs a and d diaper cream and honestly it works amazing! The skin started forming together again and now theyâre smooth. I think the lanolin in it really helped soften and moisturize it! It took 2 weeks of daily use though but in the 2 weeks I didnât use the foot file at all If your heels are super dry I would try to add moisture before taking more skin off!
@@surveytestmoney2550 what I meant to say was that people should try to moisturize the skin first and see if the dryness stops. If that doesnât work then try shaving or filing the skin off as a secondary solution
@@lavenderangel2655 itâs called A+D ointment. But I think anything with lanolin in addition with some sort of deep moisturizing agent like petroleum should be alright. Lanolin is wool wax produced by sheep. Usually moms use it for cracked skin when breastfeeding. It is super moisturizing

5$ tempered class cutting board + 20 min of lazer engraving = 25$, that's to produce about 4 minimum Edit: I wasn't expecting the comment to gain this much traction. I'm tired of repeating myself in replies, so I'll say it here; yes, I understand the point I made was flaud as it doesn't cover over all business experience. The point of the comment was just to show how she's overpricing a product that you could probably find on Ali express for 3$. Will it be the same quality, NO, but is she overpricing the product? The answer is yes.
That's not how pricing works. There's profit that goes into the price, as well as the actual price based on quality and process. So it would be way more than $25...
Lots of ecommerce does something similar to this in Indonesia. You inflate your prices and put a "1 day only" 97% off discount, where in reality that remaining 3% is the actual market price for the product. Oh and ofc the discount is up all the time, but you wouldn't know bc you're never gonna browse back
Yep, this was prevalent in my country too, but it recently became a requirement for stores to display the lowest price the item was sold at for the last thirty days, so that helps keep the fraudulent discounts at bay. So the sign will say sth like: regular price - 10âŽ, discounted price - 7âŽ, lowest price from the last 30 days - 6âŽ. It helps consumers better gauge whether it actually is a good deal they have to buy right now or if they could perhaps wait because the item is on discount regularly anyway, and sometimes for a lower price than at the moment
You can actually purchase a standard/inexpensive foot file and get in the habit of filing BEFORE you shower or bathe. Youâll notice over time how smooth your feet will be just by doing this a couple of times a week followed by your preference of foot cream, lotion, oil, etc.,
ð It's kinda funny how people like to get rid of foot dead skin layers. I mean, our feet are those parts that keep us moving and have to bear so much pressure and friction every single day. Its not supposed to be baby smooth. Its supposed to have those extra hard layers since they are protective and helps avoid cuts and unwanted poking situations. ð
@@lilmissmurdermittens hey, yeah, definitely. My comment wasn't about cracked heels. Absolutely, that's painful and should be exfoliated. What I meant to say in my comment is that people nowadays want raw-skin like smooth and soft feet which isn't normal since a decent amount of calus is required for protection ðĪ
â@@bluesspace5694calus is not required for protection. Maybe if you live in poor countries with no shoes like I did. But trust me you will still get stabbed by many things. All you need is shoes in this modern era to protect you. Chemically exfoliate your feet and soften it will lotions and oil. and you should have soft feet.
@@notsuspicioususer4080 , when I Googled DAISO, it looked like just a brand, so I thought it was a typo because I was sleepy honestly. lol. Thank you for clarifying.
My issue is the size. I started with 4 glass nail files. I now have 2. The other 2 will likely turn up eventually but no way do I want the responsibility of keeping track of a very small, clear gadget. Plus I've used plenty of other foot files that don't hurt and do take off all the flakes. I'd like to see a genuine comparison.
Bought one once. Still have it for over 10 years now. Easy to clean and reuse. But I paid $18 for a set of both a nail and foot file. The foot file was $8. Amazon.
Or buy Kerasal from any pharmacy or Target. It's just an ointment and it is what a dermatologist would recommend, over manual exfoliation. And it works with just a couple days. (Make sure you just get the basic one, as they also make one for foot fungus).
A cheaper way is to do dry scrubbing with a good foot scrub then shower and use pumice stone in shower, when you have scrubbed the dead skin and is done with your shower you dry the feet with your towel and put on foot lotion and socks so the lotion doesnât go on the floor when you walk, rest your feet until they dry inside the socks and repeat every day or every othe day. This will all cost under $40
I had something similar. It barely worked- especially compared to a pumice stone. You just cant get a good leverage with something so small and you usually need to press into your skin to get it to scrape well. Also it shattered in my shower when it fell off the ledge sooo
I bought a glass file for ÂĢ18 and I could only use it once. After that it was unusable. It did a very good job, but still a waste of money. Considering a pack of emery boards, are a LOT cheaper, one can still use one many times.
Try using chemical exfoliants, like âureaâ to soften/shed dead skin instead, use it as a leave on cream with a gel sock after shower for an hour, works great!
For years, I have used a Dremel rotary tool on low speed to remove dead skin from my heels. Quick, less labor intensive, and as long as you're careful, safe.
Nail tech hereððŧââïļ. Just go to a nail salon. If you have this mich dried up and dead skin on your feet you probably should treat it at a nail salon, because u might scratch the surface of the foot that doesn't have any problems and that will cause pain and inconvenience . Our feet cary our weight for the entire day. Idk the price ranges in america but i am sure u can get better results in the salon in approximately the same price or even less
Hello fellow tech! I agree, but if it's really bad it may be a skin infection which requires a chemical/medicinal treatment a lot of the time. I recommend products with urea to help prevent this kind of dry flaking and to prevent infections. Urea also helps to protect the new skin underneath and helps to prevent cracking or severe callousness. People also don't often have full nerve functionality because, like you said, our feet carry our weight every day and shoes are not really designed for foot comfort. People can hurt themselves if they're not careful, and it's always better to refer to a professional or even a doctor (podiatrist specifically for feet) if it's a serious problem.
Hell no, thanks. Some of these nail salons are unsanitary and cause infection. I'd rather scrape my callouses off with my teeth before I go to a nail salon.
Wrong. You can do it yourself at home by using a simple $3-$4 foot file from Marshall's, Walmart TJMaxx or eBay and run some water in the tub, sit on the edge of the tub while soaking your feet and start buffing off all that dead skin! Insurance also pays for podiatrists as well. Why pay for something so simple that you can easily do at home and save your moneyâïļðĪ·ðūââïļ
Iâm glad the top comment noticed the sales tactic she was using. Here is another thing you should ask yourself as the buyer yâall, âwhat is the cost of production per unitâ? No say a piece of glass that has a robot laser etching costs anywhere near 40.

All you need to do is soak your feet once a week(or even once every 2 weeks) in soapy water (preferably potassium or sodium soap/it's antiseptic). It will soften the hard skin so you could "file" it with even just just your fingernails. And moisturize your feet every day. I had problems with hard skin on the sides of my big toes and heels all my life. Not anymore.

In my country we use pumice stone. Well you have to change them once in a while though
filing your feet actually makes the cracking/flaking worse.
youâre creating microabrasions that continue to heal in the same pattern, creating fine cracks and flaking.
I ain reading all that but congrats
@@typicallytalya no one asked you to
Only if you over file
The best my skin has ever looked>no cracked feet, no foot care, was when I gave up carbs. There's only so much exfoliating can do for these bad boys nowððð
@@KJ-nv9uz
Ha, I came to the comments section only to hurl some abuse at carbs for being the culprit.
I like the idea of a glass file. You can clean it, possibly even sterilize it with alcohol.
Even until last week I would have been really impressed by this!
I realised that a lot of things marketed towards us are quite unnecessary. Just cheap pumice stone which costed less than 5 dollars even does the job really well!

I used my foot file every day and nothing worked. Then I decided to try my babyâs a and d diaper cream and honestly it works amazing! The skin started forming together again and now theyâre smooth. I think the lanolin in it really helped soften and moisturize it! It took 2 weeks of daily use though but in the 2 weeks I didnât use the foot file at all
If your heels are super dry I would try to add moisture before taking more skin off!
Your feet has to be wet in order for the file to work
@@surveytestmoney2550 what I meant to say was that people should try to moisturize the skin first and see if the dryness stops. If that doesnât work then try shaving or filing the skin off as a secondary solution
What was the diaper cream?
Also, try cream with like, 10% urea! Moisturising and exfoliating at the same time :)

The point of the comment was just to show how she's overpricing a product that you could probably find on Ali express for 3$. Will it be the same quality, NO, but is she overpricing the product? The answer is yes.
If it's that easy why can't you buy anything like that .... I've never seen glass like this
Are you pulling those prices out of your ass?
That's not how pricing works. There's profit that goes into the price, as well as the actual price based on quality and process. So it would be way more than $25...
Where did you even get those bs prices from? Your arse?
Paying worker, marketing, etc..
Fun fact: over exfoliation causes more callous
Smarrrtttt ðð I like the technique, it really felt as if it was cheap
Youâll notice over time how smooth your feet will be just by doing this a couple of times a week followed by your preference of foot cream, lotion, oil, etc.,
Right!!!
theres 2 stages of finding something good
1. omg this is so good! I need to but it rn
2. nvm aliexpress has it
ð It's kinda funny how people like to get rid of foot dead skin layers. I mean, our feet are those parts that keep us moving and have to bear so much pressure and friction every single day. Its not supposed to be baby smooth. Its supposed to have those extra hard layers since they are protective and helps avoid cuts and unwanted poking situations. ð
Exactly. People care about beauty more than function.
If I don't take care of the dead skin it starts to crack and is painful. It's also rough and stabby, catches on socks and bedsheets.
But does it have laser etching?
This will all cost under $40
I don't think I've ever been this impressed with a sales technique and execution ð
I have never had crusty enough feet to find this a necessity and I'm sorry to everyone who faces this battle
I just use sandstone or brick pieces. Works superbly. you can also use dried coconut shell.
I want to see an entire video with just them using this product to scrub their heels because that looks so satisfying
Or just warm water. No need for chemicals.
$40 for a piece of glass is crazy!ð
I don't believe I purchased your brand of these, but I did purchase these for Christmas gifts and I think everyone is loving theirs and me too.
All you need to do is soak your feet once a week(or even once every 2 weeks) in soapy water (preferably potassium or sodium soap/it's antiseptic). It will soften the hard skin so you could "file" it with even just just your fingernails. And moisturize your feet every day.
