Absolutely sublime music. And on every singer's face, you see they are almost in another realm. Music is the magic we need to transcend the problems of our troubled world.
I can’t get enough of this performance. The beauty and mysteriousness of the musical composition, the flawlessness of the performance, the look of reverence in the performers’ faces… very moving, even as I’m not religious, yet I think the human emotion of longing for connection to unconditional love must be universal. Am I alone though, in feeling the piece “wants” to end right before the final “Salve”? The phrase ends so gently, you almost can’t tell where the sound ends and the silence begins, a little like the airy veil between our world and whatever’s beyond. The final“Salve” comes in like an attack, and quite jars me out of my meditation.
