Las Vegas should seriously consider him. They can't get any of the top draft QB's, and can still pick up a lower seeded young QB to train up under Russ. Raiders GM Tom Telesco needs to explore how to make this happen.
The previous owners knew that the Broncos would sell for more if they had a franchise QB & media calling them Super Bowl favorites. They traded for Russ & sold the team for a then record price after they hired a coach who failed to get Aaron Rodgers to the Broncos. Previous ownership blew all those draft picks because they were selling the team. Not their worry. They just needed a franchise QB to get the media hype train making potential owners think they were buying a Super Bowl contender in year 1. Media won’t report that because they were part of the hype machine. Russ made the previous owners a lot more money in the sale price.
@@brob8204 You can read articles on team valuation. Having a franchise QB signed increases value. If the previous owners thought they had a real Super Bowl team they would’ve held on for another season. They weren’t going to suffer from the draft picks traded for Russ. They stopped at nothing to get a top QB signed when they were selling. That’s like building an addition onto a home & selling before the owner enjoys it. Contract money guaranteed for injury & skill beyond one season has to be transferred to an NFL account. It’s set up that way to this day because owners feared the league getting sued if an owner (like Patriots Sullivan family) ran out money & couldn’t pay the players. Browns had to send all Deshaun Watson’s contract money to the NFL who disperses it to the player. Russ’ guarantee was for less than Watson’s but the owners still wouldn’t go through all of that unless it helped the sake. Check out article on factors that impact valuation of NFL teams.
@@brob8204 If you look at NFL team valuations, a team with a franchise QB under contract gets a boost in value. The prior owners simply needed the biggest sale price in a market where billionaires are competing to buy a team & only one team is for sale at any one time. It’s accounting so it doesn’t get media attention but it’s like painting a house before selling it. An extra $250 million adds up. The Patriots were among teams valued at the bottom until they launched the dynasty. But ppl don’t understand how teams are valued. Billionaires do & when a team is being called Super Bowl favorite on the NFL Network & the rest of sports media follows potential owners are willing to pay more for a team that appears to be a contender.
I haven’t heard a single broncos player come out in defense of Russ. Seems He’s not liked by his teammates, so RG3 can holler about him being a top QB but he’s a terrible leader and disliked by his teammates. That matters
How has the Broncos GM not been fired yet? Signing Wilson to a ridiculous deal before he took a snap when there was no reason to sign him was a huge fail. The trade was bad enough in hindsight but it could be considered a gamble.
concerning what RG3 says at 1:46 ... seriously? Wilson is not a cerebral quarterback. He relies on athleticism and reflexes instead of relying on pre-snap reads and precise timing and rhythm. Given that, there is no way he can be a top-anything QB in today's NFL. QBs who work tirelessly and who make their whole lives about film study and practice are the ones who are top 20 QBs. QBs with a lot of non-football interests and outside distractions are just never going to have the kind of careers that guys like Brady, Manning, Brees, Mahomes, etc., have. Russell doesn't make his entire life be all about football, and it shows on the field. If he did, then Payton would have loved him and he would be the Broncos' QB of the future like he is being paid to be.

Yup, Elway has ruined more QB’s then all the defenses in the NFL
Only 35? 35 is absolutely ancient for someone who depends on his legs.
Payton hates guys who walk straight. Wilson has integrity, Payton hates that
Ah yes Drew Brees the terrible human being LOL
Russ didn’t play in the system. You can’t be the 19th best qb in football and get paid top 5.
Las Vegas should seriously consider him. They can't get any of the top draft QB's, and can still pick up a lower seeded young QB to train up under Russ. Raiders GM Tom Telesco needs to explore how to make this happen.
Gotta be a deal that makes sense money wise but I'm not opposed to it. I've been getting tried of hearing Kirk Cousins is in play
I wish nothing but the worse for Payton and the Broncos. I’ll be praying on their downfall. Heavily.
Sean Payton was intimidated by Russ’s bulk
Hate is a strong word
Shoutout Freddy and Harry. Best show on you're radio Brothers and Sisters. How did the not plug the show you actually said that on Harry
Why Sean Peyton Always Came Off As A RACIST To Me.
I’m mad y’all used hated” in the caption lol
The previous owners knew that the Broncos would sell for more if they had a franchise QB & media calling them Super Bowl favorites. They traded for Russ & sold the team for a then record price after they hired a coach who failed to get Aaron Rodgers to the Broncos. Previous ownership blew all those draft picks because they were selling the team. Not their worry. They just needed a franchise QB to get the media hype train making potential owners think they were buying a Super Bowl contender in year 1. Media won’t report that because they were part of the hype machine. Russ made the previous owners a lot more money in the sale price.
The Broncos are the Broncos, dude. Elway and Peyton played there. They have several Super Bowl wins and appearances. They didn't need any help.
Well said fellas
Funny how Schefter mentions someone getting Fields when the steelers get both.
Like most 35 yo players, I expect Russ to keep getting better every year.
It;s not a question of him getting better. It’s a question of is he still good enough to win.
He actually had a good year
He had the same year Carson wentz did on the colts
@@evinschmiedecke6167 3,070 yrds 26 tds and 8 ints 98QBR. You sound stupid AF. Wilson played good enough to help the Eagles and Bills win last year
Congratulations on blindly looking at his stat line without any context. As a Broncos fan, I can assure you he was not good this year.
How has the Broncos GM not been fired yet? Signing Wilson to a ridiculous deal before he took a snap when there was no reason to sign him was a huge fail. The trade was bad enough in hindsight but it could be considered a gamble.
All Sean did was mk other players not want to come to Denver because of how he treated Russ.
Bronco’s country, Goodbye
Payton didn't like Wilson's family, friends and the fact that he wanted his own office away from his team that rubbed his coach the wrong way.
Sean’s about to realize not everyone is drew breeze
Russell is super rich and doesn't care anymore let's face it lol
👑💯 facts
Sean payton gets alot of credit for doing nothing, he won't be in Denver long...
concerning what RG3 says at 1:46 ...
Sure, it’s Carrol. It’s Hackett. It’s Payton. Everyone but Mr. Unlimited. Ok
Being Top 20 ain’t good, there’s only 32 teams😂😂
That’s good…
Your perception of reality is crazy 😂
You don't know what you're talking about. Being top32 is all that he needs to be to have a job and be valuable. That's how the league works.
@@fvw1187 Being top 32 means you’re in the same boat as Zack Wilson, Daniel Jones, Tim Boyle, etc. Anyone who is starting is considered being top 32 because that’s how many teams the league has
@UnGoDLYLoads73 you know what? I think there's just a misunderstanding here. I'm saying if you are the 32nd best qb on the planet you should be starting in the league, it doesn't mean you are starting. If he is the 20th best qb he should be starting and deserves to. I'm speaking more abstract than whether or not they actually are the starter. If he is the 20th best qb he is extremely good and should be playing somewhere. It's a really small group of people on this planet who can play nfl qb.
Wilson isn't a victim. He was paid a monstrous sum of money, and he didn't perform. That's the story. I have no idea what RG3 is talking about.
Was that team good enough for any quarterback can succeed
The problem is he was performing then right after he beat the defending champs they wanted to bench him
Payton & Broncos org hated Wilson bc his arrogance & feeling of entitlement. Answer me this everyone:
Name another QB that had his own office?
Why did Payton accept this job?! I remember when he wore Charger colors at the end of last season with an obvious hint of
Interested to see where arrogant Sean Payton goes from here with the quarterback situation, he's the greatest coach ever in his own mind 😂😂😂
Lmao dudes really protecting Russ in this situation are pathetic. They feel so bad now for him after bashing him for an entire year for his play. The switch up people have on Russ is so subjective, simply because they only look at his stats. Yall gotta make better analysis of a player’s skillset and play instead of blaming the coach lmao.
Peyton thinks he’s bigger than he is. I’ve never watched a game to see him. His days are numbered
sean is one of the good ole boys hands down!!!! Everyone will deny this but peyton is a born racist to his heart. He was very fortunate that RUSSELL didn't SMACK the mess out of him on LIVE TV. ONE DAY he is going to mess with THE WRONG SOUL BROTHER AND THEY WILL BE PICKING sean up off the floor 💯
Russell to Dallas would make it to the Superbowl
That's called Bounty Gate Hate
When does top a top 20 QB demand 40 million a year? His contract didnt match up to the way he played.
Agree wth you but baker mayfield may be in line to get tht number wth a much less resume--daniel jones got 80m for 2yrs wth the giants! A bunch of avg qbs are overpaid.
"I watched every Broncos game from the past two seasons, so I know Russel Wilson's TD-INT ratio." - RGIII
Payton isn't the only 1 who hates that guy. Former teammates etc
That doesn’t mean he was a bad qb. Players like Sherman well you can keep him he isn’t even a top 20 db
I've mentioned the exact same statement..... Sean peyton must've held a longtime grudge against Russell from the moment the contract was signed in the offseason...
Why do they never mention that during the 5 game win streak the defense gave up 16 ppg and average THREE (3) turnovers a game?
WHO HAS THE LAST LAUGH NOW.!!!!!!!! GO RUSSELL.!!!! GO STEELERS.!!!!!! DANGERUSS.!!!!!🏈👏🏽🗣️🎯
The rams should get him if Matthew Stafford goes out
A spreewell moment is on the way . Peyton is overdue. The saints players hated him
