Maybe you might want to make those quilts wider so if they turn over while holding onto the quilt they'll still be covered up. Especially when they grow older. ☺️
I loved the quilts and in typical Grandmommy fashion the quilting room was so funny, you are quilting, working on the long arm, a kitten running back and forth, little granddaughter, big granddaughter, kitten, Mickey mouse on the floor, Minny Mouse on the floor and you keep quilting, in my house it is a dog instead of a kitten, a husband saying can you come fix me something to eat, I'm hungry, and my oldest son, 54 in and out who has been working on his car or my lawn or garden asking is there anything to eat in the fridge? and one of the granddaughters asking if we are going to be making cookies? Hahaha. GrandMommys homes should always be such fun. Loved your videos, thank you so much. The quilts are beautiful and you and your family are just precious.
I have been considering buying an embroidery machine…and to see you use it to quilt was amazing!! I would definitely enjoy seeing a tutorial on how to use an embroidery machine to quilt. Yes, Please!! :o)
Me and 505 basting spray do not play nice in the sand box. Before I got my longarm I sandwiched a quilt on my kitchen floor…found out the hard way 505 and hard wood flooring do not go well together. Spent a half day removing the spray over…pretty sure I was in the dog house with hubby for a day or two. 😝🫣 your grandbabies are so adorable. Love the idea of the denim binding. Have a marvelous week Miss April. 🤗🤗
Hi April. I always enjoy your videos. It was so nice to see your granddaughters on this one. Thank you for the huge work you do. I would be very interested on a tutorial about quilting with the embroidery machine. ❤
Check out the live -- it shows a lot of what you might be looking for April's Craft Room is live! Quilting in the Hoop th-cam.com/users/livemw7bEMGbF0c?feature=share
I watch & enjoy all of your videos!!! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a tutorial on how to do edge to edge on a Luminaire!! I have several quilt tops w/ backings just ready for me to figure it out, lol!!!
I loved this so much! I have an embroidery machine and have contemplated embroidering blocks for a quilt as you go because I couldn't envision an entire quilt being quilted. I gotta try it now. I think I'll begin small at first. I have several baby quilt panels and coordinating fabric just wasting away in some tote somewhere 🙃
I loved seeing you quilt with embroidery. I have two embroidery machines but they are over ten years old and do not know If I could do that, too small of a surface for one, but would love to see more on your site. Thanks for all the ideas on quilt materials out of the norm and the fat quarters also.
Love watching your program gram. I just finished your first bandana quilt. Very big and turned great. Lays flat, quilting nice to. Did the serpentine stitch . Made diamonds . Thank you for sharing that tutorial. I did change how I cut it out and sewed it together. But still like yours. Had so much fun making it and picking out all the bandana’s. So cool. I even wrote myself out a pattern. Just in case I make another one. Thank you thank you so much.
Please do another video on just the quilting on an embroidery machine. I have two embroider machines and too many unfinished quilts. This may help me get some projects finished! Love the video and both quilts. Thanks!
Love your bandana idea! I do opposite, batting on the bottom and spray that, I avoid backing wrinkles that way and when that's complete I flip over so batting I'd on top again then spray and place quilt top. I also use 505 and QS Free Fuse powder without needle gum up from either but I leave everything sit overnight before I quilt. 😊
I like both quilts. However, the embroidery on the bandana quilt is speaking to me. You are making me think about getting a quilting/ embroidery machine.❤❤
I'm so glad you showed how to do a quilt sandwich on a smaller surface. I have been having such an issue with that and have not been able to find a good video showing how to do that efficiently.
Absolutely would love a how to video on using my embroidery machine to quilt. Love how quickly your quilts came together. I’m in love with the bandanna one.
Beautifully done!! Love that you use two totally different types of fabric, and both are equally beautiful. Yes I would be interested to see how to embroidery machine works. Lord knows I need a new toy:)! 😊❤❤
I have quilted two lapsize quilts end'-to-end on my emb machine. They turned out great but the challenge is in calculating the repeats and lining them up starting from the middle of the quilt.
Both Quilts turned out amazing! Love the backing on them, they could easily be reversible Yes...a Tutorial on Embroidery Quilting would be great. Thank you for a fun Tutorial! 🤗
Very nice 👍🏼 quilts thank you 🙏🏾 for sharing. Have you tried the school glue it’s awesome. I love basting my quilts with the glue it will wash out. I put my back on top of my backing and turn it over and then put my top on. The glue doesn’t stick to your needles. I do a video on using the glue on TH-cam if you want to check it out. Put it’s a couple of videos on TH-cam using the glue.God bless you and your family.
I'm very impressed with your bandana quilt. Who would have thought...Only you! 😊 I would also be very interested in a tutorial on quilting on my embroidery machine. Thank you for sharing your creativity and knowledge.
Yes, definitely interested in how to quilt with an embroidery machine. As a fairly new quilter who's not (yet) interested in sending projects off to a longarmer, and who does not (yet) want to invest in a longarm machine, an embroidery machine might be a more viable and versatile option.
I totally understand. I was at that point too when I found end to end quilting designs. At that time only one person I am aware of had them. Now there are lots of options. I will definitely do a tutorial. I am really pleased with the way my bandana quilt turned out.
Have you tried using Elmer's School "Glue" for basting? No fumes, much greater control with no overspray. I use it for basting several.different projects and it's been great.
I would love a tutorial on quilting with the embroidery machine. My machine is a combo so I won't be able to make a second quilt while the first one finishes 😂
Both quilts are gorgeous. Love the red backing, the meander pops right out. Would love to see how you used your embroidery machine to do the quilting. What type of machine do you have for the embroidery. I just got a brother embroidery/sewing machine, I’m wondering if it would do it. I saw that you didn’t have a frame, is it the magnetic type? Great video.😊
Love the bandana quilt. The shelves you were standing in front of showing fabric- are they large pieces of fabric and what do you wrap them on. It looks so organized and much easier to view what you have. I’m tired of containers by color and lifting them around to go through fabric! If you have a video on your shelves, let me know….thanks.
I love that you are chill about your grandkids and cats coming in and out 😊 it makes me feel like I’m visiting a friend’s house ❤
Oh I agree about the grandkids & pets coming in while you are live, makes it feel so much more personal, yes like visiting with a friend.❤️☕️
Maybe you might want to make those quilts wider so if they turn over while holding onto the quilt they'll still be covered up. Especially when they grow older. ☺️
I definitely need to find out how to quilt with my embroidery machine! So excited!❤. Thank you for your videos, I love them and enjoy you 😊

I "make" my long arm frame from broom sticks inside of pool noodles. I have 14 quilts I'm making for children at church. I use my regular machines.

I folded all my fabric and stored them on comic board
I did a short on it
